The 60s were an inauspicious time to debut a strip; sadly, Hart did nothing to elevate the medium. Lame running gags and dashed-off artwork do not a classic make.

Just plain silly.

It is worth a read. The Wizard always had some interesting curse, and the king was really funny.

Totally lazy drawings that I could not see as a piece of art. The captions are hard to read, and I did notice that they repeat- I remeber seeing one strip 8 years ago used again recently.

So sad to see what it's become..... Read the old compilations to see a comic in its prime: hilarious, well drawn, confident. Then read the latest episodes: terrible puns, lazy drawing.

It's been recycling the same crude jokes for years. Kill it already!

It's good most of the time. I especially like that tiny, pompous little king, who keeps getting deflated by those around him.

This feature is working on automatic pilot, and it's flying round in circles but refuses to crash. Let me help it. I give it a minus two really.

Not as good as B.C. but sometimes pretty good.

Certainly a strip that hits once in a while. Thankfully, not as preachy and sanctimonious as its appalling sister strip, "BC." The artist accomplishes a lot with few lines, and that's impressive. But I'm not a fan.

My least favorite newspaper comic, and the only one I go out of my way not to read (the over-simple artwork and sloppy handwriting makes that hard). It looked unintelligent from when I was six, the mood is too bitter, and the dungeon jokes are insensitive.

This strip is to be congratulated on being consistently unfunny and poorly-drawn. Doesn't even try.

Pretty corny stuff, but it has its moments.

Has this ever been funny? Ever? Completely stupid and poorly drawn.

One I avoid reading as often as possible...and for a comic lover, that says a lot. Take this strip, add BC, Crock and Hagar and you have the MT Rushmore of Banality.

It's called the Wizard of Id, but you hardly ever see the Wizard. How about giving us more of the Wizard and less of that idiot knight guy?
