Ruthie was cool, real, and different. Exotic looks, and open-minded sexuality. So what, she had problems? Everyone does. Maybe some kids in America will learn how to cope with their substance abuse problems after watching Ruthie's courage in resolving her own under the public spotlight.

Loved me some Ruthie.. she had her problems, but she was one of the most enjoyable cast members from Hawaii and overall.

Seeing her drunk gave ME whiskydick. Even sober, she wasn't much to look at - I don't know where people are coming from thinking she's cute. Becoming a lez was a smart move on her part. Props tho for kicking butt in 'Sexes', thinking like a guy, and having a laid-back personality.

If you watch the Hawaii season then watch her on Battle of the Sexes it just shows how far she has come. She definitely had problems on the show, but she found the strength to overcome them.

Way to drink, somewhat redeemed on the challenge, but, I heard a lot of that was set up.

i personally can't rate her for "real world hawaii", since i never watched it. but from watching her on "battle of the sexes" she seems like someone genuiwine, strong, and dependible. now we can't truly judge her by the character mtv portrayed her as. but from what i see there is more to her then we know. personally i will rate her a five, because she proved her self in "battle of the sexs"

I never liked Ruthie. She was beautiful, but she was trash.

RUTHIE is their problem in the beginning cause of her alcohol problem.and she's like a nasty girl, she always shows her boobs.i think she's the only true friend AMAYA have in the house.

i would not even rate her a one!! she ruined this entire season for me. i cannot stand to watch alcoholics who claim they can handle the problem, when they OBVIOUSLY cannot!! she needed (and probably still needs) some major help.

I liked Rutihe when the show first started,but .... I think its pathetic when someone her age cannot handle their alcohol. I understand her family life and that she needed help, but they kept dragging it and dragging it. I hope she's doing better.

It's tough to reduce Ruthie down to a score, because she was a pretty bizarre mix of being, on the one hand, thoughtless and irresponsible, and on the other, self-knowing and genuine. Bottom line: she sure was entertaining.

What an actor. I have never seen someone play an alcoholic so believably. Wait, she wasn't actor and is actually an alcoholic? Knowing that made the show difficult to watch at times. It's one thing when the 90210 gang does an intervention with Dylan, it's another thing when you are seeing an actual one unfold right in front of you. Nevertheless, it did make for compelling television.

Interesting story line. Is she Tiger Woods with a wig though? I never saw her on TV the saem time that Tiger was playing in a golf tournament.... strange things are afoot at the Circle K, I think. First episode of a new season has her puking naked on the bathroom floor, that creates some great expectations for the remainder of the episodes.

Just as Larry Bird and Magic Johnson put the NBA on their broad shoulders propelled the league to another level, so Ruthie revitalized the Real World. A likeable personality, a constant buzz, pretty good-looking - Ruthie brought the whole package.
