I have never been to Omaha for the CWS, but from what I heard it is a tremendous event. The people of Omaha really open up their homes and community. However, I don't think I can ever get by the pings of the aluminum bat or the parade of no-names to sit and watch it on TV.

College baseball offers a big bang for your buck - the ticket prices are cheap, the action if hot, the atmosphere is fun (kid's love it).

As I write this, I'm listening to the College World Series (Miami vs. Stanford) on Internet Radio - wow, what a game, what a series, what a product. Yes, the season can be a bit long (60+ games), but when you narrow 2000 universities and colleges to the Final 8 and then the Final 2, its the perfect culmination to a great American tradition.
