The review below me is right on target. The NBA Finals/Playoffs are longer than a Russian novel. It's just so incredibly boring to me in contrast to the NCAA Basketball Championship. The same teams usually win anyway so it's kind of like the Washington Generals vs. The Globetrotters. I think NBA basketball is so predictable w/the same winning teams, same overpaid players, a nine month season and so on.... With all the money the NBA has, you figure they could take a page from the NHL and get the proper 2-2-1-1-1 playoff format right as opposed to the 2-3-2...it just seems cheap. On the plus side, it seems that the European players have made the NBA a little more tolerable.

As far as sports championships go, the NBA finals have slipped in recent years. Good teams and fine atheletes have been undone by playoffs that go on longer than a Russian novel. Throw in shady officiating scandals involving gambling, home-court advantage that goes a little above and beyond and you have a tournament that isn't the best of the major sports. Not to say there haven't been good NBA championships, but the NCAA tournament is a far superior basketball tournament.

The Suns give me new found hope. I still got scars from 1993, though.

Love the NBA Finals. The 7 games system gives teams a chance to bounce back and they're not eliminated in one game. This actually proves who the better team is.

Even though I'm not a big basketball fan, I still enjoy watching the games.

Depending on who is playing in the Finals, it's usually something to sit down and watch. It was much better in the Jordan era and I am not even a bulls fan.

the regular season is too long, and the playoffs seem endless. would probably be much more interesting if the season was 50 games, and four teams from each conference made the playoffs instead of 8.

I love this game!

its all about the ratings! Officials make teams play certain ways. What is this the WWF? Well I'm starting to beleive that the NBA might as well be NBC smackdown. Being a NBA fan I can't help but say that the Pistons got their defensive series they wanted. Holding both teams to under 70 points on many of the series games. OK the pistons have a good, but not a great defense, and one horrorible offense. Bad officiating and a staged series, give both cities a chance to win, giving the NBA huge ratings a boost. Who wants to watch a blow out series, the NBA doesn't . Maybe your ratings will be better next year Indiana. For now thanks for your money Indiana. -David Stern

Until all the officials stop cheating for the Lakers, and specifically Shaquille O'Neal, I won't watch them. The league has an agenda, and that's to keep their big-money markets happy. L.A. is the team that brings in the big money, so naturally they are going to be in the finals. Anybody who thinks this isn't all pre-ordained is not paying attention.

I'd rather watch Joan and Melissa Rivers talk trash about how celebrities dress on the E! Channel.

The finals are probably the most exciting time of the year next to the World Series. It's the beginning of the summer and the playoffs are at their most exciting. The games are almost always close and come down to a great finish.

My least favorite sport, my least favorite championship...

The Sixers with Alan Iverson, Mutomba, Snow, Hill and others have added an energy and determination to this series that has electrified the City of Brotherly Love. We are so proud of our team!

Should move to a college like format to add some unpredicatability.

NBA playoffs are 2 months long. I like the way it worked last yera with the strike, 50 regular season games and then the excitement of the playoffs. As it is now, the playoffs are just too long after having the NBA shoved down your throat for almost 9 months.

Nothing beats playoff basketball. In my opinion, it's the best athletes in the world competing at their highest level. I'm looking forward to this year's Lakers - Sixers showdown.

A great sporting event. Provided the best athlete of our generation - Michael Jordan - with exactly the platform he needed to demonstrate the full range of his talent and competitiveness.
