Yes it is. Barack Obama is now the President. People reacted in different ways when he was elected. Some jumped for joy while others were quite upset. And some, like myself, had no real reaction to it, except for hoping to myself that he will be of some benefit to the United States, and that all Christians (including myself) will take time in our prayer to pray for President Barack Obama, Congress, the Cabinet, the state and city leaders, and all politicians (no matter what their party is). They deserve that much.

After 21 months of electioneering, it is finally over! But political junkies like myself won't need to fret, the next crop of Republican candidates for 2012 will be invading Iowa and New Hampshire next month. After all, you can never get an early enough start, and besides, you need to give the press something to talk about!

Fin, kaput, done with, over. Thank God!!!

It is the most positive outcome of the elections 2008. Hopefully, the market will get back to the economically justifiable track. That will not happen overnight, but that will eventually happen. We all in survival mode now.

Amen, EO, amen. No longer do I have to fear nausea if the tube is on. Not until the next election, but let's not even think about it. Oops, too late, that queasy feeling in my stomach just returned.... Sorry, got to run...for the head.

The easy part for the candidates is now over. Being president challenges all those who serve in this capacity to be doers and to hold true to their promises. Time will tell if Obama is a good leader or just a talented orator... or both. One thing that is most positive is the elimination of political commercials. Hooray for that!!!

It's overwith, already. Whether you voted for him or not, he is the next President, and I have said this many times before, but I guess I'll say it again. I did NOT vote for either one of them, for obvious reasons. But he will get a certain amount of respect from me just because he holds that title.

It's not over till the fat lady sings...and pees all over Christophino while her husband assaults him with a cast iron skillet. Then it's truly all over.

Thank God. I'm so sick of this election season. I feel like it's Groundhog Day or something.

Not an outcome so much as a relief.
numbah16tdhaha 11/06/2008
Not really. It will creep in just like the other ghosts of elections past often do in these parts...

The election is over....rest of it....just beginning.
zuchinibut 11/05/2008
Then why won't the media shut up about it and show some other news?
kamylienne 11/05/2008
I'll toast to that. But I'm afraid our relief will be shortlived: it'll be like the spreading of the Christmas holiday. It used to be one day, then it started after Thanksgiving, now it's trying to creep over Halloween . . .

Indeed it is and thankfully so. That being said, since the last campaign lasted 21 months, does the next one start in August 2009?

Whew.
