Role Models 2

I dunno. I LOVE comedies. I own Superbad, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall ect, but when they have kids like a 12yr old kid using profanity, and talking sex like the kid in this movie....that turns me off. I thought it was a disgrace. I felt like they could have kept it funny but a bit more clean.

ZB pretty much nails it. Role models is smart and crass and pretty well done. Paul Rudd and Stiffler are traveling salesmen for an energy drink, visiting high schools where they tell the kids to stay off drugs and drink Pegasus energy drink instead.

Rudd's character, who has been doing this job for ten years, finally snaps. Him and Stiffler end up being forced to do community service (serve as big brothers for troubled kids) or go to prison.

One of the kids (played by McLovin), is obsessed with Middle Earth, which leads to some hilarious scenes. The other kid is a real kid, and is pretty damn funny.

This style of comedy - rude, smart, and with a soul - works for me. Recommended.

Stiffler Meets McLovin would have been an appropriate alternate title. Role Models had the same vibe as American Pie or Superbad, except its main characters were 30 something. Sean William Scott and Paul Rudd were good, but the young Ronny character stole most of the scenes he was in. Jane Lynch's role as the founder of Sturdy Wings, a mentoring program, was hilarious as well. Lots of filthy language and other inappropriate humor, so Role Models isn't for everybody. However, its exactly the type of comedy I enjoy.
