Single or Double Barreled Shotguns 3

A sawn-off (to just over the legal length) double-barrel was kept under the register in the 'beatnik' coffee house where I worked in the mid '60s.

The assistant manager - who stuttered - when confronted by a robber with a pistol in hand, hit the NO SALE, reached underneath, drew, and pointed the monster at the thief, who asked, "Are you serious?". Danny - hands shaking - replied, "N, N, N, N, N, No. I, I, I, I, I'm Sc, Sc, Sc, Scared!"

The thief fled.

I have a few old timers, but why horse around with these when you are hunting?

I prefer my single barrelled pump action 12 gauge to a double barrelled shotgun, but some bird hunters seem to prefer the double barreled option. A double barreled shotgun does give you the ability to shoot two shells at once, but then you have to reload. A good pump action or semiautomatic single barrled shotgun gives you the ability to shoot 5 (or more, depending on the model) shells in pretty rapid succession.

Mad Hatter likes my combo gun. Its .22 mag on top and 20 gauge on the bottom.
