Hard to add to the previous reviews; but I too was pleasantly surprised, having watched the movie with initial skepticism. This film will grab the viewer and pull them in. By the end, you have the feeling that you actually knew the characters. A+ acting and A+ story. Well worth watching and/ or adding to any collection.

Good story, and well acted by Swank, Eastwood, and Freeman.  I thought it was decent.

A sign of a great director is one who grabs your attention after you've walked into a film prepared to hate it. I was so sure that MDB was pure Hollywood hokum. I was positive it overrated stuff. Eastwood's film had me riveted from the first scene to the last. It reminded me of a Greek family tragedy- the characters simply can't get out of their own ways or destinies. It's a better film than people realize- complicated, painful, and unforgettable. I've always wanted to apologize to Eastwood for walking into the film prepared to hate it. . .
