 | comedyalliance (0) 07/05/2008 | Such a good sarcastic ass hole. Love him. I love his devil character the best. He has such a cool delivery a real stand out in the casts

 | badgerfan (5) 02/27/2008 | He just wasn't the top guy. I love him as the Devil. Chaunika Harry ranks way up there also.

 | edt4 (99) 12/13/2007 | In fairness to Jon Lovitz, my watching of the show, which was sporadic at best, stopped pretty much completely circa 1980. Any time since then that I've stumbled across the show while flipping channels, I've never been able to watch it for more than a minute or 2 at most...it's numbingly unfunny and irrelevent. Lovitz doesn't seem any less funny than any of the post-Belushi-Ackroyd-Murray-SNL-era performers (since none of them are funny, that isn't meant as a compliment, although I still have a high regard for Belushi, Ackroyd, and Murray). He also isn't any funnier. The show has become a cultural black hole that, for some unfathomable reason, has lasted decades. Lovitz appeared in some movies for a time that garnered negative reviews; now he's shilling for Subway sandwiches. And kicking Andy Dick's ass. Logical progression, I guess.

 | southparker9 (0) 05/16/2006 | I think the skits that he participated in were mildy funny. He actually was with the show when the funnier people left. I actually enjoyed his show "The Critic" for awhile. He seemed to have a flaw in his delivery. I don't think much of his career, and he hasn't done much to prove he isn't needed in comedy.

 | steven_ri2002 (0) 11/25/2005 | That's the ticket! THAT'S THE TICKET??!! THAT is the funniest this man has to offer???!!! This man was a black eye on a respectable comedy program. Very annoying. That "Masterpiece theatre" skit made me want to hang myself.

 | ihatejohnlovitz (0) 06/30/2004 | I HATE him. He's not funny. His SNL skits were bad, and his work on News Radio was worse.

 | JASONLUVER (0) 06/21/2003 | I never laugh as hard as I do when I see Jon in anything. No matter what he has the funniest characters! I loved it when he did the liar's club on SNL. His episode on friends was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Rat race is a pretty dumb movie, but he is funny in it.

 | President -X-D (6) 05/12/2003 | This guy always left a bad taste in my mouth. He had his moments, but they were few. Honestly, he is a product of what GOOD writers can do; make a one trick pony into a household name. Too bad the writers on SNL stink so badly now.

 | Alice666Cooper (0) 07/09/2001 | I love everything Jon Lovitz does. He was GREAT on SNL. I laughed everytime I saw his charchters. His animated show "The Critic" is even better. He has a certain kind of wit, I've never seen in an comedian. Truely, one of the all-time greats on SNL. He should be right up there with Eddie Murphy and Steve Martin. His movies are great too. Even when he makes brief apperences they are still funny. My favorite apperences are Little Nicky and the new movie Cats and Dogs. God, he's hilarious in it.

 | granfalloon (0) 06/25/2001 | John Lovitz has amazingly funny delivery and he's invaluable for playing sleazy characters! He does it so well! The pathological liars sketch is a classic!

 | callmetootie (4) 04/07/2001 | Jon Lovitz was funny, but one of the lesser actors on the show. He was funny when he played the devil, opposite Dana Carvey in the church lady segements. He used lessor efforts to make people laugh.

 | jtimmerman (0) 12/16/2000 | Jon Lovitz is very funny. He was in several good movies. He has a face for television. He is not a great actor but he is good at his style of acting. He is consistently funny.

 | dfay (0) 12/15/2000 | His off the wall humor and sarcasm are a good mix. Sometimes the material and characters he picks just suck though.

 | Cholera (0) 12/15/2000 | Lovitz's brand of self-depreciating humor never gets stale. His master thespian character was great, as was his pathalogical liar character. His sketch with Tom Hanks as two old friends who never get chicks might be one of the funniest skits ever on SNL.
