A blatant Who Wants to be a Millionaire rip-off rushed into production by Fox seeing the success ABC had with Millionaire. This show tried to one-up Millionaire by having a group of players answering questions to build up the winnings pot but members be able to turn on each other by letting one member steal another member's money in a "challenge with Chuck Woolery reading the catch-line phrase "You're A Victim of Greed"! to the person who lost the challenge. However, this catch phrase and none of the show didn't catch on at all with the public. My biggest problem with this show was the type of trivia questions asked like "What are the top selling salad dressing brands in America"? instead of the more interesting questions asked on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire such as "Who is the head cheereeader in the film Bring It On"?. This show seemed to be produced with the idea of trying to get the contestants to lose as opposed to Who Wants to Be A Millionaire which was designed to get people to win.

I love Chuck Woolery and thought it was a fun show.

I like Greed. The longer you stay in the tougher the questions got.

This show is ok, I like the host, but the game is so much like Millionaire it should be illegal. The thing I hate about it most is that one question wrong and you get NOTHING. It seems a little harsh to me. At least on Millionaire you win something. An okay show once in a while, though.

This lame Millionaire ripoff gets one extra star because Chuck Woolery was the host.

I started watching Greed once. The first episode I watched was the guy that went for $2 million dollars. I was really excited. After that all the teams would lose or keep $200,000 which was extremely BORING. If they adjust the concept it would help a lot to bring it back.

This show was just too hard to understand/follow. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I felt like you needed a manual to follow the "action". Simple is best, like Millionaire.

I liked the way this one was set up. Very different from Millionaire. I hope they bring this one back.

Ah, yet another casualty of TV's ill-fated fall of 1999 game-show binge.

Oh my, this show is just SO FLAWED! The one time a contestant went for the $2 million dollars (which was $2.2 million at the time, actually), the question was like "Which 4 of the following 9 scents are most recognizable to humans?" Come on--that's a complete random guess for anyone, with approximately 1:500 odds of getting it right--that's outrageous--anyone have a calculator that preforms combinations to figure out the exact odds? After the first five questions, they start to get rediculously difficult, with the sixth question with approximately 1:60 odds of getting it correct--and if you lose, you lose EVERYTHING! Who really knows the 4 (out of 9) most recognizable scents to humans? The 4 (out of 7) most popular ice cream flavors? The 4 (out of 8) most popular Jello flavors? The questions are so obscure, it's based very little on knowledge, and heavily on random guessing, and only possibly some stats-loving computer geek is going to know ANY of it! Any team with common sense would quit upon winning (and splitting) $250,000. Even the first four questions, which each have only one answer, are much more obscure than almost anything you'd find on millionaire. Even the contestants that get on Jeopardy! would have trouble with this show!

Greed is the kind of game show that may entertain some, but bore most.
olsaintnic 06/29/2001
Where do they get off claiming to be the most dangerous. I don't see any danger execpt the fact that I'm tempted to do there myself and kick that host in the head.
miklou 03/19/2001
This was a good show. It is not just a trivia game, but it involves risk and gambling. That's what gives it fun. Too bad it is usually not on anymore, it is better than most other game shows I have seen

Gone to the great Bonus Round in the sky....

Fox, you tried to create another 'who wants to be a millionaire' but it just didn't work. Nice try. They should have known the host of 'Love connection', Chuck Wholery couldn't be the host of such a cut throat game.
HalJor 03/04/2000
It's not bad enough that each question takes an eternity (and revealing the answer after the guess has been made takes most of that), but the first four (easy) questions for each team are too painful to watch. Question, answer, move em out!

Unless you happen to be the world's biggest statistic sponge, "Greed"'s endless flood of "four most" or "four least" questions would likely drive you crazy if you were on the show. For the rest of us who watch, we're just bored when the teams lose game after game and dismayed when they leave with absolutely nothing to show for their work. The only interesting aspect is the Terminator and the show-downs. The recent "one question for a million" events make a joke out of the rest of the genre.

It's been on opposite Millionaire and seems like a rip-off of Millionaire. But, I like the fact that the captain can jerk over his team.

This show would be better if they didn't drag it out so much...there is to long of a pause before the correct answer is revealed and there are way to many commercials. I also wish they wouldn't keep playing back previous questions.

Another exapmle of what we learned in grade school ... goup projects suck.

People who are greedy are very self centered and I do not have much tolerance for them

Aren't we a greedy society?

I watched this show once, and the producers did a pretty nice job of building the tension. The love connection guy was speaking in hushed, clipped sentences, and there were lots of "too close" camera shots of an insane looking contestant with radically spiked gray hair.
abox653om 11/23/1999
Good show, but they need a better safety net for the losers so that the contestants will be more willing to go for the $2 million jackpot
SamIAm 11/23/1999
Nasty, nasty, mean people. Everyone helps eachother out and then they "challenge" eachother and take away their money..too nasty for me..
