I've always wondered about Apple Jacks. There is no apple taste and I refuse to speculate about the jack part. My guess is that people from Kelloggs saw kids eating their own boogers and they figured that a similar-tasting cereal would be successful.

Never really got Apple Jacks' whole theme. They acknowledge that it doesn't taste like apples--I guess using flecks of peel kind of kills the whole idea of a strong apple presence--yet they don't exactly assert what it does taste like. Then, instead of admitting "okay, we pulled the wool over your eyes. It's just cinnamon..", they instead pair up a stereotypically-Jamaican "Cinna-mon" with a "bad apple" in a neverending battle of imported grocery spice versus fruit that shouldn't have left the grove. A heck of a lot of hoopla for some cinnamon-flavored corn circles. They're not even that good.

I used to eat these when I was a kid, but I don't know as I would really have the desire to eat them now or not.

A guilty pleasure even moreso than Cap'n Crunch but not extremely common in Canada.

One of the worst cereals I've ever had. They don't taste like apple or cinnamon, just chemicals. I had high hopes for these, apple and cinnamon is one of my favorite flavourings. Apple Jacks were a major let down and just to make it even worse, they turned mushy as soon as I put the, very tiny, amount of milk I usually use into them.

I remember having these when I was little and way back when they had no apple flavoring to me. Even at my young age I thought they were way too sugary and sweet.

They don't taste like apples. I don't get it, they're APPLE Jacks.

i hate the new green apple jacks. for some reason it tastes different from when they were all orange if they were still all orange i would give them a 4 star

Why is it so low on this list? This cereal is just awesome! I prefer Frosted Flakes over this cereal, but whenever I get tired of Tony the Tiger, I just buy a box of Apple Jacks. If you want something that tastes like an apple, go get yourself an apple. I love Apple Jacks!

Probably my best cereal. It dosen't taste like apple, but it sure tastes good. Excellent with or without cereal.

Pretty good tasting. Of course they do not really taste like Apples, but what the heck. Apple Jacks are a nice change of pace. They are unique in taste. We buy these sometimes.

Munson was right on target. What happened to the old Apple Jacks? I had a bowl today, and it was not the cereal I remember with fondness from my childhood. This cereal was smaller and not nearly as airy, and the thick layer of frosting I loved dearly was gone. The "apple" pieces were practically non-existent, and I was dismayed to find that half of the "jacks" were green. Horrors! The worst part was that the new Apple Jacks simply didn't taste very good. Boohoo...

Apple Jacks are a great cereal to wake up to every morning. It's funny...this cereal does taste like apples. It really does. The commercials are reall, really stupid though, so stop showing those, because this is a great cereal.

When I was in Ohio, I ate this cereal in the dorm, but I didn't like this cereal because the color is strange! For me, such a color is not good for health. Most Japanese think like this.
