07/22/2008 | This is STRCTLY on taste alone. .... I gave up white sugar/flour in 1997, hence I gave up this particluar cereal. If you want something healthy, make your own (it's easy...google "make your own cereal" and go from there). If all you want is taste and texture...well my friend, you have found your cereal with "Cinnamon Toast Crunch". p.s. my "taste and texture" remark was written before I read any other responses.

02/17/2008 | Love the cereal but it seems like they are cutting down on the amount of cinnamon sugar goodness that used to over-coat the little squares. That is the whole reason why I loved this cereal, it is still good but I want it the way it used to be! :-s

Anyhow this cereal is good the traditional way with milk, or just fresh out of the box to your mouth.

03/06/2005 |  The REGULAR and WHOLE GRAIN CTC are AWESOME! I didn't even notice a difference between the original and the whole grain- probably because the amount of whole grains is negligible... but I digress. I decided to try the less sugar variety because I thought it might actually be as good as the kind with the whole grains, but I was sadly mistaken because the 75% less sugar kind is absolutely HORRID. First off, it tastes stale and has an aftertaste like it's been sitting over someone's stove for the last few months. Second, when you go to slurp that last bit of extra-cinnamony milk when you're done, be prepared for a shock. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, KIDS! At the bottom of the bowl, hidden by the milk, there are these crystalline things STUCK to the bowl. They have no taste to speak of, are harder than a rock, and have a slightly slimy texture. GROSS! I am NEVER buying that again- I am perfectly happy with my FULL sugar variety, because at least I know it's NATURAL sugar- God only knows what the crystals are really made of, and what havoc they may one day wreak on my internal organs. I implore of ALL OF YOU to NOT try the 75% less sugar CTC- YUCK!

08/13/2004 | I just had the cinnamon toast crunch with 75% less sugar, now it just tastes like an ice cream cone with little tiny flavor. I would give it a 2 out of 5 because I think 75% is to much less sugar in the cereal.

06/06/2004 |  I love this stuff. I first tried it from the General Mills breakfast variety pack. Remembering the commercials from when I was younger and how my mom would refuse to buy me expensive cereals from General Mills until they went on sale ..and by the time they went on sale, the longing for the cereal had vanished. Anyway, to get to the point, this cereal contains less sugar than one would think from just looking at the crunchy squares. They look overloaded with sugar and have a couple of cinnamon swirls per piece. However, a look at the nutrition label will reveal that there's only 10 grams per serving. Consider the new jack-shaped Apple Jacks, with 17 grams of sugar per serving. The first problem I have with CTC is that every time I take a bite, I have to take a moment to suck the sugar granules out of my teeth because it just goes everywhere. To me, this cereal seems unsuited for out-of-bag snacking because of problem number two: it's greasy. I've noticed that every cereal with saturated fat I've tried has left a greasy residue on my milk that tastes just gross. Fortunately, CTC's flavor is so strong it masks the disgusting grease flavor. But any cereal storers or hands that come into contact with the squares will need soap and water because of the oily feeling. Oh, your lips feel greasy, too.

05/27/2003 | Cinnamon Toast Crunch has always been one of my favorite cereals. I just cannot get enough of them. It really does a lot for me considering my frequent sugar-cravings in the morning. And when I eat this for breakfast, no doubt, I have an extra boost of energy. Forget the coffee, bring out the CTC.

03/26/2001 | You can't go wrong with a combination of cinnamon and sugar. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is an ultra-sweet cereal, with a strong cinnamon flavor and quite a bit of sugar. I'd never eat it for breakfast, but it makes a great snack or dessert. Somewhere along the way, I think the amount of sugar sprinkled on top of the cereal was reduced- much to my dismay. However, it still packs a sugar punch, no doubt. Anyone who likes really sweet, crunchy food will love Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

11/22/2000 | A good cereal that fills me up. You can snack on it without milk, but when milk is added it makes it cinnamon flavored. The flavor is good, not too sweet, a warm cinnamon flavor, but it can not justify the price. When you buy General Mills name brand products it is too expensive.
