Too cute to live. So sweet my teeth hurt if I read it.

Cloying and sentimental. Saccherine, banal mush which ushered in an era of comic strips which addressed the lowest common denominator.

One of my absolute Favorites! Clean! Loving! Good for the Soul Brownie of a comic!

I see my daughter and her crew in this. Great!

This one usually has a sappy message but it's always funnier than Doonesbury.

People accuse Family Circus for beeing too sweet and saccharrine. but I think Rose is Rose just takes the cake. I rarely find this strip funny. In fact, reading it makes my teeth hurt and my blood sugar level shoot through the roof.

Only the fact that it's competently drafted stops Rose Is Rose being consigned to oblivion. Competent, but not good. Writing's ordinary too. Looks like it stepped straight out of 1956. I hear that somebody at Brady's syndicate rejected Calvin and Hobbes in favor of Rose Is Rose way back. Wonder if THAT guy's still in a job? These boards seem to be made up of (a) fans voting well in favor of the great strips and (b) creators of bad strips desperately trying to rig the table prior to the next contract negotiations with their syndicates.

Chili!

Brady's use of space is innovative but... Too much with the spoiled, cutsey cat...too much happy-joy-joy mush. The strip needs a ceiling to collapse or a tire to go flat or a mugging or something to snap these people out of the sunshine/rainbow world they're in.

Too many hearts and rainbows.
Classic Steve 03/12/2003
The shard-like, unrealistic drawings really irritate me. About 75% of the jokes look original and the rest not. Good thing there's a worthwhile joke every so often, along the lines of a feline "buy-and-hold lap investor."

it was funny but not anymore. it's like the creator is f%#@!^ up what the heck is going on? this comic strip is going to need something to make it funny again. i just hope the creator does something fast before they make it to another DILBERT comic.

Hey, I remember this comic strip. We even gave a guy I worked with at UPS the nickname "Pasquale".
buzzdav4 02/23/2003
Awww, it gets a little sappy--well, really sappy. I get tired of Pasquale's guardian angel. BUT--then, Jimbo manifests his hilarious fetish for fat women--now THAT'S different & funny. Pat's a helluva illustrator. I actually knew Rose the Biker once when I was younger.

I hate this cartoon. Nothing about it is funny. It uses stupid, outdated jokes. Its like Family Guy compared to the Simpsons.
Chris Browne 01/29/2003
This is one of the greatest comic strips ever made. Chris

Absolutely adorable. Rose reminds me of my wife. Peekaboo was my cat, Stimpy. I love it!
Spiralingmarce 05/21/2001
Pat Brady seems like a child; romantic and always ready to draw a cat watching a sunbeam or the Gumbo family engaged in some loving act that involves nature.
jesterr 03/09/2001
A bit too sappy at times.
