If you have knowledge of Hollywood you know it's prejudiced. I've noticed things are starting to change; people are tired of seeing white faces all the time. Hopefully Salma will have some more opportunities very soon! She can act, sing, direct, produce and soon she will be writing! More talent than most actresses who are given good roles and she shouldn't have to prove herself anymore. She can turn a bad role into one that's good, now that's talent!

I honestly believe this to be one of the worst actresses in Hollywood. I am Mexican and it embarasses me when she blames her lack of work to the fact that she has an accent. I think is a terrible excuse. Dolores del Rio ( another Mexican) was able to succeed in the 50's in Hollywood but she succeeded because she had talent something that Salma obviouly lacks. Gretta Garbo (German) and Sophia Loren ( Italian) both had an accent when they arrived to Hollywood. So Salma had not excuse. She does not get work simply because she is untalented. Thank you

salma hayek is not a very good actress. I find it interesting that every time people refer to her, they only refer to her beauty and not her talent. I think we are moving from individuals who are only interested in actresses who are driven by image, and more towards individuals who want actresses who are driven by substance and intelligence. This is a woman whose claim to fame is taking her clothing off. If she wanted to be seen as something more, perhaps she should have turned down the roles that were demeaning, and sought roles that had more substance. I saw her in Frida, and i thought she did well in that film. However, there were some scences that were indicative of how bad of an actress she is. Also, I think Edward Norton is way too good for her. She seems to be with him not becasue she loves him, but for what he can do for her career. She is a terrible actress. How she is even allowed to make movies is beyond me. I don't respect her at all, and I am pretty certain that hollywood does not respect her either. Personally, I don't think its becasue of her race or nationality, I think its because she is self-absored and completley untalented. Look at Halle Berry, that is a woman I respect.

The only reason I bought From Dusk Til Dawn was because of Salma's dance scene. She's beautiful, sexy, curvaceous, is ethically moral, and she's really quite funny. I would see any of her movies without question, whereas you couldn't pay me enough to see one of Jennifer Lopez' movies.

My biggest complaint about the movie "Wild Wild West" (and believe me, I have a lot of complaints) is that Salma Hayek hardly appeared at all. She was the only good thing in the entire movie. The woman is beautiful.
