If you're tired of black soot and candles that don't have any fragrance after the first hour or so, give Mia Bella's a try.

Again, not a necessity, but heck, it can be pretty romantic . . . might add to that kiss at midnight. . . . probably not a good idea if it's a big party and alcohol's involved, though, now that I think about it.

Candles are a necessity for New Year's, they add to the ambiance of any New Year's Eve party. I hate the scented ones though, I always go with the plain ones. The scented ones give me a headache for some reason.

Polluting the planet, causing fire hazards and for some reason, they are viewed as romantic.

I am giving this 5 because candles, if your new years consists of you and your significant other and no one else, this is a great way to be romantic or try to get that certain someone in the mood for a little one on one for new years.

Uhhh, candles? I can think of about a million things that are more important for a quality New Year's Eve than candles. Am I missing something?

To set the mood...yes. To maneuver your way through a catostrophic event at midnight...no!
