Isn't one resolution hard enough to keep for a whole year...why would somebody want a whole list.

I would like to lose some weight; be a better husband, son, father and grandfather; pray more, read the Bible more, watch TV less, be a little more tolerant and just enjoy life to it's fullest. If I can keep at least one of these I will be a better person. If I fail I'll keep trying.

You heard it here first: numbah will do at least 10,000 push-ups in 2008

Stick with it.

I don't think it should be just 'once' a year that you think about these things. It should be a priority all year long if it's that important to you. It's all about making a decision and STICKING to it. Stop smoking if you want to, lose weight if you want to and so on. Bottom line: stop being weak and change your life for the better if you WANT to.

It's fun, but I never do it, I never keep resolutions, anyhow. It's easier to keep a resolution after truly realizing that you've gotta change.

A list? How about just one. One that you still won't do!

i guess it's fun, but i'm usually aware that it's not gonna happen. i give it a go for as long as i can, though. it usually sticks for two months- tops!

1. Loose weight. (Like 20 lbs, or at least not gain more than 2) 2. Stop smoking (or don't start) 3. Get healthy (meaning no more Bigmac&Co with extra cheese, onion rings + chocolat icecream) 4. Make more friends (not nessicarly better friends) 5. Keep old friends (Oh, hard one) 6. Get married (or at least go on three dates, not nessicarly hitch a man) 7. Stop rating weird and stupid things on rateitall.com (no, I take that one back. It's too much fun!) 8. Party more (get drunk on a tuesday. )

New Year's Resolutions are a very important part of the New Year's experience. Every year I make them, some resolutions come through, others don't. I, being a goal oriented person, find the New Year's as a great place to start meeting obligations that I wouldn't otherwise throughout the year. The New Year always brings a newness to everything, you get a frest start to meet new frontiers.

resolutions are for weak-minded fools

I never follow through but they're still important!

I'm always good about resolutions until April or May. At least that means I'm healthy for 25% of the year...

I love not keeping them every year.

Last year I resolved to get a helicopter and learn to fly it. It didn't happen, and I'm tremendously disappointed with myself, so this year I'm setting my sights low. I may resolve to get a haircut next week, or to gain five pounds. It's important to have goals.

If there is anyone in the world who has ever actually kept to their list, I would like to personally meet them. Better to set your mind to certain goals regardless of the time of year..It's kind of like going on a diet, you are bound to fail.
