 | Astromike (20) 07/10/2008 | Gotta love Charlie Brown. He reminds me of me. Bald, always seems to run in to bad luck, or worries about stuff lol. It always works out in the end tho.

 | MissPackRat4Jesus (37) 01/19/2008 | I've got to say this for Charlie: he's noble... withstanding all of the ridicule Lucy Van Pelt has been throwing at him. But, Chuck never has an unkind word for anyone, and he just keeps on going. Having been called everything from "blockhead" to "loser", Charlie Brown is a WINNER to me. As far as I'm concerned, he's already kicked the football. "Good old Charlie Brown", indeed!

 | trebon1038 (64) 01/19/2008 | You wouldn't have Peanuts without him. He is the most insecure character on the planet but is so likeable that even Snoopy likes him from time to time.

 | spinette (14) 01/09/2007 | Charlie Brown is a humble soul, he knows he dosen't know eveything, unlike his friend Lucy, who try in vain to say she knows about stuff, but he usually is the one who has to show by example. I think Charlie Brown is unspoiled, and knows a little bit about the art of thinking.

 | Broodinghen (13) 01/01/2007 | He is one of these anti-heroes who are designed to please by their "charming" awkwardness. He bores me quite as much as all other anti-heroes.

 | HistoryFan (98) 11/01/2005 | This is the only comic strip character I can actually relate to. I was a female version of Charlie Brown in school. I had few friends, didn't get the guys I wanted, and never was good at anything except writing and academics.

 | Bird808 (53) 05/28/2004 | Charlie Brown is actually based on Charles Schulz the creator of Peanuts. So if there was no Charlie Brown there would be no Snoopy. I absolutely love Snoopy he is my all time favourite cartoon character. Charlie Brown on the other hand and all the characters in the cartoon are based on Charles Schulz's life growing up as a kid and his childhood friends. What I admire so much about Charlie Brown is that he is the unsung hero in the peanuts cartoon. He's not the beefed up good-looking super hero with super-human powers like most comic book heros. He's realistic, the average looking painfully shy child that never wins anything, in a world where growing up and trying to find your own identity is hard. I can see why most children and even adults can relate to him.

 | pikachan (0) 01/10/2002 | One of the best comic strip characters ever created. charlie brown seems to always get bad luck all the time. He never catches the baseball, he dosen't usually get invited to parties, and he gets called a "Blockhead". I feel sorry for him.

 | CastleBee (83) 03/28/2001 | Charlie Brown - the loveable neurotic who never wins but always comes out ahead somehow. I always get the feeling that if Charlie Brown ever reached adulthood he would probably realize that his need to kick the football was probably less of a problem than Lucy's need to seek help for being such a mean little witch. And, knowing him, he'd probably even visit her in the sanitarium.

 | flai4749om (0) 03/30/2000 | I'm sure that everyone has, at one time or another, felt like Charlie Brown. This kid is so real. The funny thing is that he thinks that nobody likes him, but all the neighborhood kids hang out with him. There's much more to this child than he knows.

 | Wiggum (16) 01/04/2000 | Charlie Brown became a cultural icon because everyone can relate to him. Not everyone gets to be the hero in life, but at some point everyone gets to be the goat. Charlie Brown redeems the "loser" in us all because he doesn't quit - he gets burned again and again (Peppermint Patty pulling the football out from under him, Lucy charging him 5 cents for lousy psychiatric advice, the tree eating his kite, getting nailed by a line drive on his first pitch, being shut down by the little red-headed girl, etc.), but he always convinces himself that things are going to be different the next time he tries. So ultimately he really is the hero. We're in debt to Charles Shulz for introducing us to Charlie Brown, and it's a shame that the Peanuts era is coming to an end.
