The Greatest Game for the Greatest Sport. No other sport in the U.S. (or world in my view) has as much drama, anticipation as the Super Bowl, it's like a national holiday in the United States.

Game was ok. It's always better if your team is in it. Weather probably played a role as well. Commercials sucked hard!!! Can we see any more CBS commercials.

Football is great but the superbowl more times than not does not do the teams justice. one bad mistake costs one team a championship more times than not. leaving people wondering who the better team really is, not on ONE particuler day

Super Bowl (Football) 3

Many claim that the Super Bowl is over hyped, and this is true; however, it's the Super Bowl (not the Average Bowl), and the game is now a modern American tradition. Nevertheless, the Super Bowl has evolved into more of a social rather than a sporting event, as many viewers couldn't care less who wins or which teams are even playing. Moreover, since the game is not played on the home field of either them, the game lacks much of the excitement that home field brings. Finally, many complain about how much attention the commercials get, but these have become as much a part of the game as beer and hotdogs are to baseball (for instance). In the end, however, the Super Bowl loses stars when compared to the NCAA Basketball Tournament and the second round of the NFL playoffs (which usually has more competitive games).

It's the best championship because it's the hardest to get. It takes a total team effort dudes.

If you are watching super bowl XL... can someone tell me how much the referee is getting paid to "chat" for the Steelers?? B/c OMG! I am not a Seahawks fan... but it's ridiculous! Plus... what's up with all the Steeler commercials vs two seahwaks commercials?? I am talking about the one where players and coch are holding the trophey and talk about how exciting it is to win the Bowl. Here in San Diego.. we saw two with the Seahawk QB... and about seven or more with Steeler players. It's just a little stupid.

Like it or not, its clearly the number 1 sporting event in the country, and it really isn't even close. I'm a bigger baseball fan but unless the Yankees or teams of interest are involved then i only give it a cursory watch. I always watch the Super Bowl, despite the commercials and halftime shows.

Re: Commericals This is a Family day with supper bowl parties all over . From the youngest to the oldest. The ads should be in the same order youngest to oldest. I have grandchildren as young as 4 watching the games because we are with them. So the ads should be for the young at the beginning to the elders at the end. you might think of something like BOB the builder or Dora for the young and the beginning of the games. till most childern of this age group are in bed. The ads that I saw this year wernt especially good. I did have a couble of favorites. One at the begining like a time machine of progress and the Anheiser horses with the other animals. Other than that I truley look forward to the commericals to see how creative people are. Well I guess you people need to look at what this generations of bringing up families want. It's not bras coming apart on TV or some one frozen in a car. You must have better writers. Just take a look around at single parents, stay at home moms, grandmars, people in need, just get down to reality in you ads and your rating will be a lot better. Thank you , Some one who cares

As someone who seen every SB , since #5, even if there are one sided games , it still wouldn't be so unbearable , if they would cut out 99% of all the bombast; get rid of the pre-game extravaganzas , with all the flash and fireworks ,and especially , get rid of the halftime show!!!!All that obnoxious glitz and bombast ,it's just over-the-top and totally unbearable!!!!Streamline the whole damn thing!! Make it for the real sports fans , no more eye candy for the casual watchers who just want to see something entertaining You want entertainment? Wait for the Oscars , wimp!!The Super Bowl is not about that. The game was never about being entertaining , or entertainment. It's a sport - The Game comes first , entertainment comes second!!

Out of thirty eight Super Bowls about six have been good games. The best games are usually the Conference championships, and the final is usually the Super Bowl of hype.

Nothing beats it in the even years when it is close (odd seasons bring even super bowls as the game is played in January. And yes, if the season is odd as in strage, great SB follow). Every other year it is just commercials for me. I guess this will be one of those years.

If you asked me after Super Bowl XXX I would give it 2 stars at best. The most recent Super Bowls have been very competitive (except for Bucs blowout) and for 4 straight years won by teams who never won it before.

A handful of clever commercials, an abundance of bad ones, horrible halftime performance, hmmm... what am I forgetting.... Oh yes! A little bad football thrown in. Most overrated contest in all of sports. BCS champ game(as a sporting event) is much more anticipated. Granted, the Super Bowl has better commercials.

Better than the college game's answer. Not always a blow out as witnessed by the past few years. Some of the greatest super bowls have been played since 97 - packers/broncos, rams/titans, rams/pats, pats/panthers

Much as I enjoy a good football game now and then, I do not tolerate the Super Bowl very well at all. For the last 20 years in my house, it has been traditional to go rabbit hunting on Super Bowl Sunday. Far, far from home. all day.

There's only one game (not four to seven), which gives it vitality. You only have only one game, one shot to lay it all on the line and prove that you have what it takes to be the best.

One game for all the marbles. I like that concept. I wish they would find some way to redo the playoffs so that NFC could meet another NFC or AFC vs. AFC in the big game. It would sure cut down on the blowouts.

Yeah, I watch every one of em... So what, so does everybody. It is now a big commercial fest. The game is usually over by the end of the first quarter and you just sit around watching the commercials and using the game as an excuse to party. Most people who watch it don't care who wins or even who's in it... But I'll still be watching it with the rest of you!

Well who ever blackeye thinks she/he is they are very wrong about football/superbowl. The superbowl is very important to the players, choaches, and spotwriters. A lot of people depend on that game and a glory place for the players. Some people think it is a great achivement and for the players it is very important. It is a career for the players. I seem to love it.

Even before it started, the Super Bowl or its broadcasters, or both combined, illustrated a problem of long standing for such events that to me is more important than generally seen because to me it shows a disdain for our historical patriotism. I'm not sure who to contact, but I am going to find out, and it will lead to a new story in my book also. Ray Charles is a famous entertainer, in some minds even a top of the line singer, but he certainly butchered the usually beautiful "America the Beautiful." Then, whoever that group was had not even bothered to learn the words let alone practiced the music of our "National Anthem." It is insulting to me, personally and collectively, as an American and as a "combat decorated" veteran that the National Football League, and other sports in their equivalent games, display such blatant disdain for our patriotic heritage by choosing to have our patriotic hymns delivered at their events by entertainers picked for their fame in other regards but totally incompetent to do the likes of "America the Beautiful" or "The Star Spangled Banner." When they butcher their presentations as badly as before today's Super Bowl the performers additionally have delivered the absolutely clear message that they personally DON'T GIVE A DAMN.

Super Bore. Nobody cares for it outside of America. However College football has a more international cult following (especialy Asia & North Europe). The Cheer leaders are the unsung heroine's when it comes to promoting American football aboard. If only they replace the footballers with cheer leaders then the sport would be more appealing to the masses.

The stupid bowl has very few redeeming qualities -- none of which are even related to football. If I am forced to watch I demand great snacks and silence during the half time show. I don't even know what teams are in the running!
