I'm a huge sports fan and I get absolutely nothing out of the ESPYS. I remember being incredibly excited for it when they announced the first ever ESPYs, but it just wasn't that entertaining. The great thing about sports is that for the most part winners and losers are settled on the field/court, and not by some arbitrary voting system.

Now that's an award show .

Purely as a relative statement this is by far the best awards show! Can you remember a more emotional speech than Jimmy V's in 1994? We should all do 3 things every day: laugh, smile and cry. Don't give up, don't ever give up!! Besides some of the athletes' wives are HOT!! What's up with Eric the federalist...doesn't like sports?!?

This has turned into THE annual awards show for sports junkies!

I think it's a good idea, but I have never really gotten that into this award show. I think the problem is that the best part of the show are the highlights of that year's spectacular plays - highlights which, for the most part, you have already seen if you watch Sports Center as much as I do.

I love TV, so this is a pretty relevant awrads show for me to watch.

Actually kind of fun, as far as awards shows go. Seems like they get the big-time sports celebrities (as well as other celebrities) to show up, and they seem to enjoy themselves. Although I do get sick of seeing the ESPN commercials where they show the "play of the year" candidates again and again and again...
