He wasn't good for long enough and we haven't heard from him at all. He has only played 10 games this season. HE was a very good player and can hopefully be that player again.

overall, i love this guy. He's has good handles, and even though he's 3rd in the league for turnovers, most of the time he can finish, and thats something that the magic really needed. He CAN shoot, dribble, take it in, and occasionally shoot a three, and is a MASSIVE threat on the fast break. A good stealer as well, and solid stats, 21 ppg, 5 rebs, and 7 assists pg. T-Mac is a good player, but u dont really find that many explosive point guards like steve-o, except ai, nash, and some others. I would actually have taken him over T. Magic won 15 more games this year than last year, and yes, we had the worst record last year, but guess what? we won 15 more games this year WITH all those injuries. So, yeah. Steve is good!
samjung sucks 07/26/2005
Hey Samjung!!!Ur gay and because of ur comments ur also saying t-mac sucks!Sure the rockets made the playoffs but did they win the first round??no!!Even with t-mac averagin over 30 ppg in that series!!He is the biggest ball hog!!In the 2003-2004 season,T-mac scored a career high of like 60 points and had a ppg of 28 that year!!If ur saying that Allen Iverson and Steve Francis are ball hogs, then how come both players average 7-8 assits while t-mac averages 5-6!!!HUH????Whose the big crappy ball hog now!!!Now look at the Magic!!!With T-mac, they went 21-61 compared to 36-46 with Francis!!!U cant expect a team to contend in the playoffs right away after they were the worst team the year before. And Steve Francis only averaged 21ppg compared to T-mac 28.The magic should definately keep Steve because Francis has that pure love for the game that T-mac will never have. Keep u and ur gay comments to ur self cause u dont no smack about the NBA!!!ENOUGH SAID!!!

Has anybody remembered that basketball is a team sport? It's morons like Lebron James, Allen Iverson and Steve Francis that are killing the NBA. Franchise is a ballhog that only intends to make highlights instead of trying to win games. Houston was correct to eject him to Orlando. They got one heck of a deal. Now Orlando has to try and figure out how to dump this guy. They'd better, Grant Hill only has a few more years of his NBA career in him, and Dwight Howard is up and coming. If Orlando wants to break out of its bad luck, a good start would be to dump Steve-O.

Hes amazing!has one of the quickect crossovers i've ever seen!i'm a heat fan!i live in miami!!!Francis is tremendous when he gets the ball! He can get past just about any defender! I think he is better than dwayne wade!!!I respect both players but in the end, i think the slight edge goes to steve francis!!I just respect this guy and his talent on the basketball court.
baller#5 04/14/2005
Francis is a wizard with ball handling and he's pretty good at shooting(.421 pct.) form the field.
#3 04/08/2005
A great guard and is really helping the Orlando Magic win some ball games!!
opinion#4 03/28/2005
steve francis can dribble and SHOOT . #1 wiz fan!!!he used to be one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA!!!that year he shot 39% from 3 point land!!!THATS GOOD!!!HE GETS 5 stars not 4!!!he definately deserves it!!!and he still shoots right around 30% from 3!!!thats not BAD!!!thats average!!!
#1 wiz fan 03/26/2005
Steve Francis is a great dribler but he can't shoot.

When Steve Francis was traded for Tracy Mcgrady people thought that Tracy is worth more than just Steve Francis. First of all the magic went 21-61 with mcGrady and are now 32-34 with Steve Francis. Steve is underrated. he does not get enough credit for what he can do on the court. the rockets were 45-37 last year with francis averaging 16 points per game that year. now the rockets are 39-27 WITH MCGRADY AVERAGING 25 PONTS PER GAME. Mcgrady averages 9 points more than Francis did with the rockets and still the rockets are about just the same as they were last year. With the Magic McGrady averaged 28 ppg in the 2003-2004 season. francis averages 7 points less this year(21ppg) and the magic are already 32-34 and are still capable of grabbing a playof spot. Thats a huge mprovement obviosly because the franchise arrived in Orlando. Tracy McGrady dint want to play for Orlando Magic General Manager John Weisbred. Instead John was interested in Steve Francis and im glad he got steve. Steve can show john how to really lead a team to the playoffs. While i say that Steve Francis is underated im going to say Tracy Mcgrady is OVERATED. People SAID THAT WHEN MCGRADY COMES TO HOUSTEN THE ROCKETS WILL BE A TEAM THAT WILL WIN THE FINALS. i dont understand why people are jumping to conclusions with T-Mac. Right now the rockets are battling their lives out trying to hold on to that 7th playof spot. So once again Steve Francis is just worth as much as Tracy McGrady. Stevie underated Franchise. ENOUGH SAID!!!!

Francis is good, averaging about 21 points per game and 6-7 assists per game. He is good all around the court. The only negative would be his attitude on the court. He always argues with the officials on certain calls and can be a ball hog. But like I said, he is helping the Magic win some ball games.
Jar-Jar Binks 02/14/2005
He can shoot, dish assists and even rebound as a point guard. But he's no STEVE FRANCHISE. He snubbed Vancouver, he hated playing for Jeff Van Gundy, and now he's pointing fingers at his Orlando teammates after a loss to Golden State.
Game1 08/23/2004
That guy has talent and passion similar to Allen Iverson, Just like Iverson and Isiah Thomas before him, People either love him or hate him. But guys like that most times get shafted because of whatever preconceived notions about attitude. On of those misunderstood guys, just wants to win.

In my opinion Steve Francis hits the top 5 for best point guards overall in the NBA!He can pass and shoot and is a great all around player! And he was a starter in the NBA All-star game for 2004 in Los Angelos!!!
califcarlson 04/22/2004
Good player but unfortunately his Terrell Owens attitude is causing his career to decline. He hasn't been as consistent as he was in 2003 and people need to just say that he's declining. Lucky for him he's still young and certainly can turn that around. It really bugs me how immature he is. And that will never go away.

^The next great NBA guard
jamestkirk 09/02/2003
For a guard, he is the total package. He's a triple-double threat any evening. He is more suited to the 2-guard position rather than the point and hopefully the Rockets will realize that in the near future. Great on both ends of the court and a fearless penatrator who can jump through the roof.
gummocatkilla 05/24/2003
The 'franchise' needs some help other than Yao Ming.
SHANGHAi_made 02/02/2003
Out of all the Rockets players, Steve Francis is my favorite. I know nothing of his "cocky" attitude or what not (never met the dude) but he is a terrific ball player. Gotta give him props for that.
hollaholla 01/22/2003
FRANCHISE BABY! No doubt one of the most exciting players in the game...on and off the court...he's got more charisma than anybody in league...gotta love this guy
lukskywlkr. 10/17/2002
He's gonna lead my Rockets to the title. The question is...when?
yoshislink 05/10/2002
They dont call him franchise for nothing. Without him Rockets cant win at all.
ellajedlicka21 01/25/2002
Sure, he has an enormous leaping ability. However, I think that he is too flashy and can't really do anything to help a team win consistently into the playoffs. The Rockets can't do anything with him not playing.
magellan 03/06/2001
I really want to like this guy. He is extraordinarily gifted, he reached the NBA against huge odds (death of his mother, limited high school basketball), and he has flair to his game. What I have a hard time with is his immaturity. After a recent game against the sixers, after running an alley oop with 2 seconds left in a game that had been long decided, Stevie Franchise ran up to Sixers coach Larry Brown, screaming "you lose," "you lose". Little punk - he's lucky that Tyrone Hill didn't throw him into the stands.
RAIN WOMAN 03/05/2001
STEVE FRANCIS HAS BEEN MY HERO SINCE HE ENTER THE NBA. I LOVE HIS ATTUIDE IT'S NOT COCKEY IT'S SETTLE. WHEN I SEEN HIM GO VISIT HIS SISTER DURING THE ALL STAR BREAK I HAD TO STOP MYSELF FROM CRYING. I KNOW I'M NOT HIS ONLY FAN I'M SURE ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE ON STEVE HE IS GOING TO ONE OF THE YOUNGER PLAYERS THAT GOING DOWN IN HISTORY.
