Great at the time but not so much now

its scary how many people like this game.

Terrific game! It's not as good as THPS 3, but granted it also came earlier when technology wasn't as sophisticated. I have one big complaint about this game though. It's too easy. For beginners it takes a little time, but after you've learned the tricks and stuff it isn't hard to beat the game.

GOD I HATE THIS GAME the game was revelutionary for the time but after extensive gameplay (2 min.) The game had lost its appeal wow i can sit there and pull 900's till i turn blue but nothing beats going out and breaking a sweat, or an arm skateboarding. Games are suppose to spark the imagination and lets us take adventures we could not take otherwise. Like pilot a plane or fight a demon to the death. Why would there be a game with many clones for a normal task.. what next a game on how to eat?

This game is one of my favorites. I was fustrated when I first played it, then I started getting better at it. The stunts and tricks are cool. you have to unlock certain levels by earing points and some require medals. And you need to unlock skaters and skateboards. I reccomend this game to anyone who likes to skateboard.

OMFG this game is addictive! I thought TH was the bomb until TH2 came out. I don't even skate. Most of the people you find playing this have never touched a skateboard. It just enters a whole new paradigm in gaming that is so engrossing.

This is an awesome game. I can sit and play it for hours on end and I don't get bored with it. It's fun and it's challenging. It's a really well put together game, however Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is even better.

This game is one of Playstation's hottest games for sports fans, especially fans of extreme sports. With real life feel of skate boarding with big air, phat grind tricks, and a nice list of pro skaters to use. This game is fantastic.

Nice to see a skate boarding game, but I would like it to be a little more realistic.

Fun game. You build your own rink. You can change it if it isn't possible, and even a novice (like me) can make some pretty cool moves. Different combinations allow you to discover more and make amazing moves.

The best shooting game out. Game play is outstanding. The tracks are a little hard but still fun.

Right now, this is the best video game ever. I personally suck at it compared to some of my friends, but there are so many different combinations that the game never gets old. All the levels are good for tricks, especially the warehouse.

Tony Hawk was the first to use the free roaming engine that they used. Since it came out, there have been two more that followed. Not only was the game popular, but it was a stepping stone for Playstation.

I think that this could be the most addicting game in history...the only thing though is that only good players like the game so practice for a while and then you will never put it down.

Rent this game once and you'll be hooked. I didn't think a skateboarding game could be any good, but this one's lots of fun. I also like that you can play for a few minutes without feeling like it was a waste of time because you didn't advance in the storyline.

This game is really fun and addicting, but the music soundtrack sucks. And the game makes (skaters) people get rough and fight over turns.

I gave it a 4 because it was kind of challenging for me to learn, but once you do, it's the funnest. I personally only play videogames on certain occasions and rarely like them, but this one is one I myself will buy for my PlayStation. The only reason it didn't get a five was because I felt this is a hard game to learn if you hardly ever play videogames.
