09/06/2004 | Unreal was, in my book, revolutionary. It took not one, but at least two giant leaps forward in terms of graphics, which still hold up quite well today. The game was beautiful, atmospheric, and fun. The monsters were scary, and the weapons were unique. The game's engine was so powerful that it was licensed for about a million games after that including Clive Barker's Undying, Unreal Tournament, Deus Ex, Rune, Klingon Academy, and a bunch more. A true classic.

02/22/2003 | The best game ever made for PC. It has the best graphics of any game. It features long, hard, and sometimes scary scenes. There are different types of monsters, weapons, and landscapes. The best game.

07/02/2001 | I have to disagree with BalinChojin on the load times because I don't wait any longer than 15 seconds on an AMD 450 with 128mb ram. Anyway, this game is great. The graphics ar top notch, even today, with some truly great atmosphere. The sound effects are perfect and there is an awsome Tecno soundtrack that changes mood depending on whats going on in the game. If there is anything bad I can say about this games it is the multiplayer game and more specificly the Bots, wich are unforgivingly hard and they cheat. I mean what are these things, telapathic or do they just see thrue walls. All in all this doesn't efect my opinion of the game, A masterpiece, deserving to be in any true gamers collecton. Especialy now that Unreal Gold is out for about 10 bills and with all the extras incuded I suggest you go out and get yours today.

11/19/2000 | Unreal is all about graphical splendor. The graphics are the best I have ever seen, unsurpassed by even the most current games (most of which use the game's incredible engine, as well). It is a great answer to Quake. It looks fantastic with or without a 3D accelerator. The vistas are beautiful, the monsters are clever, as are the weapons. About the only bad thing in this game is the slow loading times. It takes five minutes to load a level, even with a 3D accelerator. Some levels only take that long to beat! And the load times get longer the further into the game you get. Other than that, it is a great game.

07/20/2000 | This first person based action game is very graphic and detailed. Internet use allows for multi-player games in which you can fight against other users. The graphics are great, and the game has unique traits that other games do not.
