I've had this game since 4th grade. I beat it but i keep it and still play it occasionally. It's awsome but after a while, like other games, it gets a little tiring. Great experience and teaches you about profit and managing money, but it's also just plain fun!!

I absolutely loved Harvest Moon. I got it as a Christmas gift and played it all the time. It was fun to do the farming through the Nintendo because I didn't have to bend over the soil all day, just the bag of Doritos. I liked how you could buy the seeds, plant them, work, meet new people. It was a fun RPG with all the seasons. You get plants, farm animals, you even have a dog. I loved that the idea was original and entertaining. Plus you could go to the bar and get drunk! You can get married, have a kid, go into town for festivals and gatherings. Completely original and genius idea.


The price when it was new was around $50 US. I sold for like $5-Gamecube time, and when I went to a videogame store a few years later, I saw it used for $40!!!

a great farming role playing game. more or less based on real life

This is one of my favorite games of all time. It's a lot better then the original and a lot better then the one for game boy advance. I love this game. I give it a five because of its originality and funness.

This is a truly addicting game. It is very exciting at first, but after a while I became bored of the monotonous gameplay.

The game is really addicting and fun to play. Not violent at all and is just a happy-go-lucky game to play. I just wish i could find a place where i could buy it. i cant find any of them anywhere!

This game is just so fabulous and addicting.At the beginning,your grandfather had been running a farm and passed away of old age.You want to take his place so after awhile your father(who is a lawyer)decides that you can take it over.You get to have your own dog and horse and enter them in races,you can get cows,sheep and chickens.You can grow eggplants,turnips,potatoes,cabbage,grass,tomatoes,corn,3 types of flowers,and strawberries.There are tons of great festivals.New years(where you have to *out-drink* people)gatherings,Cow festivals(get prizes if you have the best groomed cow with really good milk) and thanksgiving festivals(girls who like you come to your farm and give you cakes) and much much MUCH more!You must be a boy,your original name is Jack,but you can name him whatever you want.You can pick between 5 girls to marry.(Anne who likes animals,Elli who likes food,Karen who likes wine,Maria who likes books and Popouri who likes flowers.Each have their own extremely different personalities and you have to pick the right one to marry...now of course you don't have to marry but I find it's better unless its too much work for you.Once you're with a wife you have to stay with her a long time(you can get divorced but then you may never be with another girl)and you have to treat her VERRRY nicely everyday.You can still stay close with your other lady-friends but always treat your wife the best.You can also have a baby who can learn to talk(in full-sentences).I married Popouri(Poe-Poo-Ree)and I have a kid called Sage(It will always be a boy).I am very rich(hehe)and I have 3 cows,3 sheep and 6 chickens.But it won't always be the same.It's you who decides everything that happens.GET THIS GAME it really really rocks.Tonzo stuff to do!I play it every day!Oh and one more thing-Karen(wine-drinking girl) MIGHT move away if you don't marry her...just a note...she didn't in my game because she liked me but it may be different for you.There is so much to do in this game and I garuntee you will love it very much or there is something terribly wrong with you!(hehe)See Ya! ~Magnolia~

Not enough diversity

Harvest Moon 64 is probably one of the best game's in N64! It's a story about a boy, Jack (you) who is taking his grandpa's place as a farmer on a farm, you can take care of the shipping, crops, and buy animals, add extentions, get married, woo the girl of your dreams, hurt your animals, go to the festivals, annoy the girls, keep beating the game! O, and if you beat the game, you can keep playing!! I admire this gamem and I hope you do! You also start with the girls heart gauges, indifferent, friends, flirturious, warming up, deeply in love. You can go to the square for festivals, except horse and sheep contests, theres dogs, and cows too! The horse and dog are in the square. Talk to the goddess. Give gifts to your girl, have a baby! Make friends with townfolks! Goodluck! P.S. Buy as soon as you can! Or else when you go to Fam. Video it usually isn't in.

ooh my goodness i love this game but after i have nothing to do of course...dont play this game if your bored because then you cant make fun of how you can hit on the guys and stuff like that....hit on that kay guy!!!it's hilarious..or i think that's his name?

One of the best N64 games I have ever played. Role playing is cool, the animations on this game are awesome. My favorite girl to marry is Karen. My favorite person- besides myself- in the whole game would have to be her. The mayor is kinda annoying but other then that everyone is friendly and cool.

Great Game. you play as a farmer who has to restore a farm by clearing the land, and planting vegetables and flowers. And you have to try to stay on the farm and be friends with everyone in the game. The most interesting features of the game is you can get married to a girl if you are vey nice to her, and you can get a kid if you are married.There are a lot of festivals in the game, some with chances of winning. And you can enter in the Horse race {Spring,Fall} and the Dog Race {Winter only}This game has a lot of goals to complete if you want to be the top farmer of the game. This game may not be a Fighting or Action game, But it's a classic to me
