Sometimes he's funny, sometimes he can be annoying. The Simpson's have had so many episodes, their are at least a handfull where Barney was pretty funny.

While I used to like Barney for the drunken slob that he is, over time I realized that while his actions on his own are kinda funny, he is really an unbelievable jerk to everyone around him. It seemed he started as a more "Likeable" drunk, but has really turned into...well, just a jerk!

Reminds me of quite a few people I know ~ how sad is that?

Homer's little stint with med weed almost killed me, but Barney has been delivering the drunken goods for well over a decade. Bottoms up! Urrrrrrp!

barney is homers alcoholic friend. he likes homer for who he is but most of the time hes too drunk to care.

Moe would be out of a job if Barney never drank at his bar.

Barney ROCKS!! i love him, drunk or sober. he's funny either way, and i just think it's so cute when he's sober and his hair is combed and shirt is tucked in... eee! =) Barney is SOOOOO sexy! heheheheheheheheheheeeeee...

Pre-season 11 Barney is a top ten of mine, but sober Barney needs to go.Whoever's idea it was to make Barney sober should be fired!

Barney is so great and funny. His movie won the film festival in one episode. BURP!

What's so funny about Barney? He drinks and burps, and he's a total jerk to his friends.

The burping booze-hound. Gotta love him. His movie "Pukahontas" in the Springfield film festival is one of the funniest scenes on the Simpsons ever.
