I miss him. He portrayed the typical lawyer crook. His court room antics were hillarious! R.I.P. Phil Hartman.

*Lionel Hutz hands the judge something* Judge: This verdict is written on a cocktail napkin.... and it STILL says "Guilty".... and "Guilty" is spelled wrong!

Judge: Mr. Hutz. are you aware that you aren't wearing any pants?
Hutz: Huh?... Ahh!

Skinner: Is there an "Orange Julius" on this floor?
Hutz: No, but I can sell you this one for two bucks.
Skinner: Why don't I just go drink out of the toilet?
Hutz: He'll be back...

I think he comes with a "instant appeal" clause.

I absoluted LOVED Phil Hartman as this character ~ what a shame that he is now forever gone.  I hope they don't try to use someone elses' voice for him.

I miss Lionel. Since Phil was killed and they retired Hutz and Mclure. Hutz's replacement just does not live up(GIL).

The only place a bad lawyer is effective is on the Simpsons. Makes some great lines in a series of great lines. Too bad Phil had to be murdered.

I love Lionel Hutz. "I've argued in front of every judge in this state...often as a lawyer."

Sole propeitor of I Can't Believe It's a Law Firm. His real estate card says: "you'll go nuts for Lionel's Huts." It's perfect that Phil Hartman is able to play Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure. His uncanny sarcasm is priceless for this role. Perhaps his best appearance is in the second season episode when Bart gets hit by a car. He is a wonderful mock of the ambulance-chasing, exaggerating lawyers that file ridiculous lawsuits.

Another great Phil Hartman character. I miss the man so much.He was a comic genius.

Phil Hartman’s two characters are great. Lionel Hutz is the lawyer that never wins.

Lionel Hutz is my favorite Simspons character of all. He is very hilarious, especially that he's a lawer, gives him all the more character.

Lionel Hutz was on Bart's case a few case and on Marge's and Homer's case a few times also. he was voiced by Phil Hartman who also did a few voices on the show like Troy Maclure. Hutz is a good character.

"That judge has it in for me, ever since I kind of ran over his dog. Except for replace the word kind of with repeatedly and the word dog with kid." What else do I need to say. Magnificiant!!

Lionel Hutz makes the perfect idiot lawyer. He's a terrible, unethical lawyer, which makes for some great humor, especially because he's the only one the Simpson family can afford. He has some great lines, like "I've argued in front of every judge in this state...often as a lawyer!" and "That judge has it in for me. I kind of ran over his dog. Only replace 'kind of' with 'repeatedly' and 'dog' with 'kid'." It's too bad he won't be around anymore due to the death of Phil Hartman. The reason he only gets 4 stars from me is because he's not an integral part of the show.

One of Phil Hartman's finest characters.

Behind Homer Simpson, he is the funniest character who has ever appeared on the show. Every line he has ever said stole the episode. It's almost impossible to decide which line is his best, but my personal favorite is (Hutz):"This calls for a celebration! Care to join me in a belt of scotch?" (Marge):"But it's 9am!" (Hutz):"That's alright, I haven't slept in days."

Lionel Hutz' has always been a good charater. The pathetic lawyer is about as good at his job as a fly being a lion tamer, but he frequently comes up with funny lines. He has been sadly underused in my opinion.

So unfortunate that Phil Hartman was killed and this is one of those things that we miss gim for.

Any lawyer (or anyone who has dealt with one) will get a few yucks watching Mr. Hutz at work. Funnier than studying for the bar!
