i've have always liked the simpsons and my favorite character on the show is Mr.Burns

He maybe evil but you got to love his vest.

Every show needs a villian type character.  I think Mr. Burns is HILLARIOUS!  Their have been quite a few memorable episodes of the Simpsons about Mr. Burns.

A great character. I especially love all his old anachronisms, lines like... (to the pimply faced clerk at the Post Office) Mr. Burns - "Young man! I need to send this missive to the Prussian consulate in Siam - post haste! Am I too late for the afternoon auto-gyro?" (to Smithers on showing him the model of the "Spruce Moose" during his Howard Hughes impression [the casino episode]) Mr. Burns - " I call it the Spruce Moose and it will fly from New York's Eidlewild airport to the Belgian Congo in eight minutes!!"

he is irritating,mean and nasty and its a surprise he is still alive. but the show really wouldnt be the same without him

This guy has become one of my favorites. From being a tightass bastard with money, too having a clearly gay assitance, this has to be one of the funnier secondary Simpson characters. After telling the people hudled around the 'Angel', Burns says that the creaters from the Nuclear Power Plant only have fins. Burns: 'Smithers, use the amnesia ray'. Smithers: 'You mean the revolver'. Burns: 'Precisely, and while your at it, you might want to wash your memory clean to'. Genius!!!

What can I say? He's excellent.

Monty Burns is the really old greedy,filthy rich owner of the nuclear plant. There is really nothing likable about Mr, Burns, but every show needs to have the guy that everyone hates {except for Smithers infactuation with him}He is mean, looking for ways to make more money and he does not care who he steps on to get it. He even reminds me of a vulture rubbing his hands together and replying eeeeeexxxxxxceeelleennt A pretty good cartoon bady guy.

Exxxcellenttt. Springfield would be boring without him.

How could you not like him? Hes voiced by the sexy carlos aquizull guy.

A hilarious character but your typical multimillionaire who has no clue how ordinary people live. Selfish, and self-centered, he only looks out for himself which makes him a great character.

Great Rich Character

Monty Burns is the most despicable, conniving, crapulent, deplorable person you could imagine, but yet he is still absolutely hilarious. One of the best characters behind Homer, Apu, and Moe.

his soft but cold voice,his vulturelike posture,his unimaginable sickness and wealth,his funny gay assistant/secret admirer Smithers makes Mr Burns the best TV character ever.Groening is a genius for creating him.Even Einstein can't beat that.

It's hard to decide which is the best Simpson's character, but I think Monty Burns just gets it... Everything about his appearance, voice, mannerisms are really funny. The fact that he relies on Smithers so much is funny too, seeing as he believes he is such a powerful man in Springfield. 'Excuse me, barkeep - some cheap, domestic beer for me and my buddy here'. I wish they'd make more episodes mainly featuring Burns - a classic character!

Mr. Burns has to be my favorite character from the Simpsons. He's the evil owner of the nuclear power plant where Homer works at. His voice is superb, and I love it when he says "Excellent"! Greatest character.

My favorite t.v. character of all time!

The perfect antagonist...evil, rich, and dumb enough to keep putting himself in interesting situations. The Simpsons definitely wouldn't be the same without him. Who else could spawn blinky (the three-eyed fish), block out the sun to increase the need for electricity, destroy the city due to a nuclear breakdown, etc. There are so many shows out there that involve his evilness that he is definitely a necessary (and funny too!) character to the show. Even though Monty Burns is old, He has done a lot of things. He tried to become Governor, but lost because of a Three-Eyed Fish he ate, He made a movie for the film festival, which lost, and he got shot by maggie. Mr. Burns is also Homer's boss at the necular power plant. A wonderful character.

Monty Burns's character basically is the stereotype of an elitist businessman who lacks the common touch. Case and point, when Burns lost his power plant and he tried to go to the supermarket to do some shopping for Smithers. He was comparing catsup and ketsup bottles or in the same scene when he picked up "Count Chocolate" cereal because the character on the cereal box looked just like him. Out of touch, but so hilarious, like all Simpsons characters.

Monty Burns is the best character on the Simpsons. His lack of touch with the modern world, symbolised with his insistence to play dead softball players on the Nuclear Plant Team and requesting that Jolson appear to perform for him is very funny. His relationship with Smithers is superb.

Smithers, I've tried every concotion available when all I really needed was the blood of a young boy. Hello lamp post what you knowing? I've come to watch your flowers growing. I'll bide my time, oh what the hell I'll crush him like an ant. And incidentally Marge thanks for not making fun of my genitalia. Release the hounds. Once you spent time like that with a fellow you never want to see that fellow again.

Favorite Montgomery Burns lines: 1)"Let them have their TarTar sauce...." (Burns on a Marge suggested perk that would influence his employees to work harder) 2)"and now, the hunted has become the hunter..." (Monty Burns playing Ms. Pac Man, circa 1985)

Mr. Burns -- the boss you love to hate. The interaction between him and Smithers is always hilarious.
