I remember seeing Sally Jessy Raphael after school when I was younger. A show that covered all topics and for a while, I believe it challenged Oprah and did get good ratings- that is until (and along with becoming more sensationalistic in the vein of the Jerry Springer Show) Sally got a big head and began interjecting more and more of her opinions every chance she got, not only in her show, but outside of it- and telling off others who didn't see eye to eye with her. Humbling lesson here? Don't be a sanctimonious, obnoxious, egomaniac television host who thinks he/she is bigger than everyone else, and that his/her opinion MUST be shared by everyone in a company/corporation- and heaven forbid they might actually disagree with you (I hope someone gives Keith Olbermann the memo). Such is the case of Raphael, her television show, and what might have been.

i liked sally. she had class, compassion and didn't put up with crap. i'm glad though that she didn't go th sam road as jenny,rikki, and jerry.

I believe that for most people she is a bit too boring in the hype depatment and a little over exitable over the things most people don't care about. On the other hand, with what we have to choose from these days, well... watching her reruns can be okay I guess.

I wish Sally was still on. At least she controlled the show and did not allow her guests to speak filth. And more kids need some of these camps. Look at what we have today due to the parents not taking control or refusing to. Ok, So the kids won't mind, whose fault is that????

I miss Sally, she was a tough old hag! I felt like she actually cared about her guest. Too bad her assistant Pat ruined the feel of the show. Maury, Jerry, and Montel have nothing on Sally. I loved the boot camp shows. Come back Sally!

She was nothing but a trouble making know-it-all. I am still surprised to this day how long her show lasted...it was totally atrocious...

Shame on this woman sending teens as old as 19 and as young as 11 off to these atrocious bootcamps! These camps are so brutal they're not so short of concentration camps! Look at the similarities. Concentration camps forced people to do hard labor and deprived them of food and water as well as placing them in uniforms. The same thing Sally did. Her and her nazi Sgt. Julu are plain evil.

She wanted to be Phil Donahue so bad her teeth hurt. Two problems: a) No one could be a worse piece of crap host that Philly Boy. b) She didn't have enough talent for that, even.

I liked Sally she had pretty good topics and it wasnt always the same ones day after day like some other talk shows.

THANK GOD SJR IS OVER!!!!! shes never had a good show, yet shes acted like she was bigger than oprah or the female Jesus. Give us a break sally, you suck and more people were releived that your show was over than sad to see you go. I hope your staff wheels you into the seniors home and locks you up...youre the epitome of TRASH!!!!

Sally is my sugar mama. She's the best talk show host in town. So interesting.

I remember this one episode when they had the bootcamp thingie. That's been her best episode to date, but other than that, she sucks.

I can't believe users are saying they respect her?!? What is that about? She is rude, obnoxious and judgmental. Her glasses are way too big for her face, her voice is annoying and that way she purses her lips annoys me to no end. I don't believe she has ever had an interesting or unique topic and her show epitomizes trash talk TV.

She used to have an ok little show that wasn't as exploitative as most. Now, it just yelling matches with almost daily trips to boot camps. Her sincerity is pretty thin at this point, and she seems very, very slow these days.

sally is one lady i highly respect. she's got a very informative show. she's a no joke kind of person - very down to earth.

I despise this woman. Is it the fake red ahir? Is it those eyeglasses? Is it her tone when she talks with her guests? I cannot figure it out, but she makes me wince if I see her on TV and the sight of her name prompted me to leave a comment - she is like a nagging urinary infectiion - soo painful.

I enjoy Sally's show b/c she's not afraid to say what is on her mind even if it includes cursing someone out.
