I have never been interested in buying an adult magazine myself. I notice that these types of magazines are toward the back of the store. I would imagine It may be embarassing if someone would do a price check on one in front of everyone. It reminds of a scene in the movie Banana's with Woody Allen.Woody wanted to buy a "dirty" magazine but did not want anyone to notice. so he bought about six more regular magazines to buy with the dirty one. he gets up to the check out and when the cashier is ready to ring up the naughty magazine he holds it up and yells to the back of the store "hey how much is this copy of SCREW magazine.?" of course the person in back does not hear and says what!? so he hollers "SCREW I need to know the price of Screw magazine."and the guy in back yells back "oh Screw magazine that is.....Watching the mortified look on Woody Allen's character was hilarious.  {actually the name of the magazine in the movie was orgasm,I hope this is not a real magazine}

If you're one who goes out of his/her way to buy this, I doubt very much that embarrassment is much of an concern.

I second Molfan's view.  I wouldn't buy them either simply because I'm pretty much anti-porn.
