I'm fortunate to have joined RIA. For so long, as I sat and watched his show, I had to ask myself what it was about him that so many people found profound, insightful, and direct. He misses too many obvious follow-up questions, leading me to believe he's not listening/he's purely in it for himself, and not for excelling in his craft. Finally, I concluded that he's a doltish hack for corporatists, who work their agenda through propagandistic manipulation.

Tim Russert is your typical stealth conservative right-wing media sleeper agent from the Catholic wing of the religious- right. He was "activated" when he was needed by the Bush junta. He got away with being the first and THE ONLY "mainstream" media representative to declare the post innauguration ballot re-count "all over" but he lost most of his credibility much later on, due to his exposure before, during and after the scandalous Valerie Plame affair - where he was put forth as a pinata by his White House confederates, because the Scooter Libby/Rovian thinking at the time was that no journalist would ever be FORCED to testify.
Russert and his protege' Andrea Mitchell will join the mercenary ranks of other White House whores, such as Armstrong Williams, Robert Novak, Jeff Gannon, Judith Miller and everyone at the FOX News network - they will all join Leni Riefenstahl (Hitler's well-paid filmmakers) in the journalists' hall of hellish shame.
If there is any justice whatsoever, Chris Matthews should be following these liars out the door.. As MSNBC's OTHER Holy Cross media operative multi-millionaire, he was integral in the GOP's 1998-2000 full-scale operation to knee-cap Al Gore and to annoint George W. Bush to a position just north of messiah., Matthews can PRETEND that he was "always against the war" but he was ALSO always FOR the war-monger. His former position as a speechwriter for a Democratic President gave him cover for far too long.
The entire slate of brainwashed GOP goons and conservative talking heads will soon be tossed out on their rich as$es. The GOP has reactivated Armstrong Williams, even AFTER he got caught taking money from the White House, so they are OBVIOUSLY running out of media whores and they're ALSO running scared down a dead-end alley in Iraq.

typical leftist blowhard. Selective outrage only on republicans. never on the communist party.

Keep in mind that we're talking about the show Tim Russert, not Meet the Press. While I like Russert, this show is just bad. There are some interesting discussions every now and then, but this show is largely boring. I'd much rather catch Meet the Press, which is Russert at his best.

Tim does a good job of not becoming news. He is excellent at assisting with the provision of his medium. Moderator supreme.

Just another idiotic pompous blowhard. Turn on virtually any talkinghead show and you'll see another imbecile very similar to this moron.

I like him a lot, but if someone evades his question more than once, he lets them get away with it. He should nail them to the wall like Hannity does.

Tim Russert demonstrates he is neutral in his brodcasting and ask the right questions to all of his guest. Give him Brokaw's job when he retires not Katie Couric.

Tim at least tries to be unbiased- a rare event in the liberal media of today.
