All these so-called women do is attack, cry, attack, cry, attack, cry, attack, cry, attack, cry. They fit into the old sterotype that women can't work together.

The View is one job that I wouldnt take. I cant deal with all that chirping back and forth those ladies on the show do.
sensai 06/12/2007
The View purports to be a current affairs and chat show, but in reality, it is nothing but an opportunity for ill-informed, self-absorbed, pretentious and rude women to endulge themselves in a paid self-aggrandizement fest. Some of the most sickening scenes have included: Rosie's conspiracy theories, supported by completely erroneous interpretations of science by the ignorant Rosie; Rosie's pandering to Alec Baldwin and trying to portray him as a saint after tapes of his child abuse were aired; empty-headed political rhetoric between Elisabeth and Rosie; and Babwa trying to make out that Paris Hilton was a pure little sweetie who is now all reformed and then stipulating that just because the grandad of Paris contributed to the campaign fund of the Sheriff who released her early from jail could not possibly reek of nepotism. I am not a regular fan, but I recorded the show recently to see what all the fuss is about. As Shakespeare said: 'Much ado about nothing!'

Elizabeth Hasselbeck should probably build a shrine somewhere to Rosie. Let's face it; before the "Rosie incident", if someone had mentioned the name "Elizabeth Hasselbeck" to me, my reaction would have been "Elizabeth who?" I'd like to think there'll come a point in the very near future when I can say "Hasselbeck? Isn't that the guy who used to star in Baywatch? Did he have a sex change or something?" Unfortunately, the human mind works in perverse ways; given all the things I want to remember but can't, I probably won't be able to erase the memory of this wretched right-wing nobody from my mind. That, or the memory of "Billy, Don't Be A Hero" by the Heywoods.
txnmn1 05/31/2007
how mundane can you get without Rosie's blow ups the show is nothing but a waste of TV, Elisabeth should take her maternity leave and retire....
Vudija 05/30/2007
Pure crap, who would bother watching this garbage anyway?
numbah16tdhaha 05/30/2007
Yea, Rosie's gone! No matter, I still won't watch that crap...
callitdownthel ine75 04/26/2007
Canuck42, Elizabeth Hasselbeck being self-absorbed? Really?!! How about Rosie O'Donnell many times disrespectfully telling Elizabeth Hasselback to shut-up because she disagreed with her view? Yet, Rosie repeatedly attempted to control the discussion on 'The View', and say whatever she wanted without any sense of accountability or personal responsibility (and woe to those who did not share this bully's views)? If that isn't self-absorbed, then what is?
Canuck42 01/01/2007
Elisabeth Hasslebeck and her very self-absorbed tirade about the use of her name on Law and Order...A bunch of yuppies out of control... the show had the potential to be a good one... The 'cxxx pack', unable to exploit the opportunity, are getting closer and closer to a "Je-rry, Je-rry, Je-rry..." style..
SharonParry 12/12/2006
I haven't watched it in a long time. I don't have as much time for television these days, but I use to like watching it sometimes. They had on some very good guests and they often behaved like children .I, of course, thought that was cool. Another thing about this show is the atmosphere. It's like a cafeteria style restaurant. it was pretty good. Babba Wawa can leave and it would probably be better. There's another lady who has a head full of herself!
Ih8rateitall 05/17/2006
The View is adding Rosie O'Donnell to the show, what a terrible move! She's too catty, she's already causing problems on the show, Star Jones may not return to the show. They made a bad show even worse.
AsuzaSt 04/17/2006
Will it be the same without Meredith? Maybe better? I like the beginning when they talk about news. It has made me see Barbara Walters in a new light. Depending on who the guests are is whether I watch the rest.
DoorGunner 04/09/2006
I love watching the ladies on the View pool their ignorance and draw faulty conclusions. One of the best comedies on TV.
93century 04/09/2006
I like to have more pleasant memories of Elizabeth Hasselbeck. When she was Elizabeth Filarski on the CBS reality show Survivor!
Sundae 04/08/2006
Yikes, I must be in the minority. I really enjoy the View most of the time, especially when Barbara is there. They talk about interesting topics. Barbara is first class, and Joy makes me laugh. The others can be replaced. I don't think I'll miss Meredith. Depending on who the guests are determines how long I watch the show.
jaywilton 09/19/2005
Basically nauseatting-when I've seen it for a few seconds.
naima 07/18/2005
i watch it because of elisabeth and star is funny
JustinPM200 05/26/2005
Is there anything more offensive than Star Jones -- on Television?
southparker9 11/08/2004
Horrible show. Horrible personalities. Joy is funny, but not that funny. Meredith is the only redeeming quality of the show. Star sucks. This show should be called 'The Bitches of Eastwick'.
etnjnt 09/12/2004
The View finally hit rock bottom when the brainless, self-absorbed, stuck-up Elisabeth FiFi Hasselbach joined the show.
EschewObfuscat ion 09/08/2004
Dawson's right, no reason to watch anymore.
BeatlesfanStev eo 07/13/2004
very boring, not a good show, very sexist all they do is talk about how hot george Clooney is.
tvtator 03/31/2004
Bunch of middle aged women yapping and trying to sound important. They spend too much time at the beginning talking about current events and giving out their opinions(which usually doesn't about to a hill of beans) When they do interview the guests, most of the attention is on them, not the guest.
Redoedo 03/31/2004
Nothing but a group of arrogant yuppies who sit around and sip coffee while pretending to have a remote understanding of the important issues facing the country and the world.
Molfan 03/29/2004
This is okay at best. My biggest reason for tuning in every now and then is to see who the guests will be. I really do not care what the ladies views are. One thing I find especially annoying is they are constantly all talking at the same time. All trying to get their turn.Enough to give me a headache. I even feel sorry for some of the guests if one of the ladies does not like them. Joy especially can be nasty to them.I know that when someone hosts a show they can not be expected to like every guest but it is not very fair to make them look like a fool.which i have seen happen on this show.
Delores Williams74 03/29/2004
Friday, March 26, 2004 was the worst episode ever! Everyone, especially Star Jones, was completely out of control! I can't believe they did not go to a commercial or better yet, throw water on the whole group! Can't take all that screaming, etc., anymore.
bubbaknowsbest 03/26/2004
Heres an x- viewers suggestion... Take your estrogen replacement girls, get off your annoying, in your face, liberal schtick, and try firing big mouthed unfunny Behar... Maybe then I'll start watching your show again, but probably not.. You defintely don't speak for ME, girls!
darkstar4d 03/10/2004
Very informative when covering the various issues being brought up though I don't always agree with some of the opinions I give your show a thumbs up, oh by the way you should consider naming your bowling team The View Crew, short and simple.
rainbobrite88 02/24/2004
The ladies on The View need to learn to speak without the cursing. What kind of role model are they for the children watching/listening. Also, they need to read the Bible, which clearly states it is a sin for a man to lay with a man. God sanctified married, for the purpose of pro creation. Two people of the same sex are not capable to do this. Your language and lack of manners have just cost you another viewer.
Babiluv2308 02/09/2004
The show on Feb.9,2004... I thought was good until the end when the man Mario came out and talked bad about all the stars. I think it was very wrong of him and the ladies on the view to sit there and laugh at that. It not only made him look like a fool the all the ladies too. And anyways who was he to be talking, he should take a look at himself.

4 days of the janet jackson disgrace is just sad.
Ardell DellaLoggia 02/04/2004
Today's show with the piece on moving from Manhattan Beach to NYC pointed out the failure of the new woman to be as dynamic as the other players on The View. The comment that people who move from ? to NYC have sticker shock smacked of dishonest omment. Manhattan Beach is not Hoboken. Prices are comparable to NYC and Manhattan Ave is not the burbs lf Manhatta Beach where the price goes under a mil. She's not honest enough...her pieces are not honest enough...and one thing all of the view girls should be is in your face honest. Without that...it lacks a cohesive spirit. Ditch the new girl.
redtop 01/28/2004
At your start up, I realley enjoyed your program, then drifted to watching for lack of nothing better to do. Now, I'm no longer interested in The View. Joy, has turned me off with her sniping. Seems the ladies have been given to much laditude to do nothing but bitch and snipe at/about 90% of people/celebrities. Please, stop the bitchey dialogue. I thought Joy and Cathy Lee were kidding, now I realize Joy was serious. Joy, shame on you for being so rude to Cathy Lee. She is such good person who gives back to others with her money. Joy, do you give? As a matter of fact you're ALL rude, and unlady like. Clean up your act.
LadyShark4534 12/19/2003
I have nothing against Barbara Walters or Star Jones. I just really do not like this show. It's very boring and these women appalled me when they invited Maury Povich and called him sexy. Hello, Ms. Jones!? You are doing a large dose of hypocrisy here. Your show is directed towards us women as your general audience and Maury Povich is actually a very sexist male. He believes girls should not wear whatever clothes they want. He's known for bringing only female teenagers on his show and sending them to bootcamp. And for what? Wearing makeup! When a tv show like the View welcomes people like that, It is not only evil, It is contradictory.
loishou 11/25/2003
I watch this show everyday that I am home because I LOVE it. My favorite part is Hot Topics and just about any of Joy's segments. I am a master's prepared professional woman with a 25 year career and find a great deal of value and interest in what the ladies have to say. My only concern is over Star's obvious racism. She should tone it down. Its unbecoming for a woman of her intelligence.
tototoo 10/28/2003
I've always loved Barbara Walters and would watch almost anything she's part of. Love her dog ChaCha too. Barbara is a great lady and brings up entertaining subjects. Joy Behar is funny.

I read where "The View" is the show Barbara Walters "always wanted to make". If this poor, badly-realized show with inane opinions and commentary was Ms. Walters "dream project", then I have to question the last 20+ years of Ms. Walters' journalism. This woman was highly regarded for a very long time, and at one time deserved the accolades. Now, after showing her true colors with awful programming like "The View" and her increasingly trite interviews with celebrities, this journalist has lost any and all respect she once garnered. The conversations with political figures she has these days are barely disguised apologies for bad ideas and bad philosophies; therefore they can't be called "interviews" any longer. "The View" is insulting to it's target audience, and is even worse television than "The Oprah Winfrey Show". I pity the fact that this show panders to uninformed women who deserve a much more intelligent program featuring intelligent women with consice viewpoints, instead of the same old slop about how cute George Clooney is.

It's the.....Man Hater Show!
Christine31 10/08/2003
I just watched the program with Michael Moore (Oct. 8, 2003). The way the "ladies" attacked this man was appalling. This man has some very important and enlightening things to say about America - just watch his movie "Bowling for Columbine"! But instead of letting him have his opinion, they not only jumped on every point like a pack vultures, but barely let him speak at all! Maybe he hits a nerve because he says what so many people in America - in the world! - think.. and its not the candy-coated version of America that people would like to believe. Sorry, View, but you screwed this one up!
Whodabe 07/01/2003
It would be better without Star Jones.
Moosekarloff 06/25/2003
Please. Hand me the Midols because I don't think this cramping is gonna abate by itself. How about some Correctols too, because this show has me impacted...
mochi22 06/04/2003
I only watch when that shrew KMee Gifford is on to see her make an jerk of herself.
rogerls 05/07/2003
could they be considerate and talk one at a time and about something other than sex once in awhile
mst3k4evr 04/29/2003
A while ago, I would have given this 3 or even 4 stars. But now I'm going to have to go with a 2. For one, I like to tune in during the first 10-15 minutes which is the "hot topics" part of the show, but it's hard when they keep talking over each other. I used to overlook it, but now it drives me up the wall. Another thing is Joy's hair. She never does anything with it and it's been the same since the show first started in 1997. Third is Star Jones. Ever since I have read comments about her seemingly increasing size on various message boards and the fact that you can hear her breathing heavily into the microphone, I can't help but ignore it when I watch the show now. If there is one person that is in DESPERATE need of gastric bypass, it's Star. Forget all that "I am heavy and sexy" business. It's your health that matters. Just ask Carnie Wilson. And for those that say "Don't like it, don't watch it"? WhatEVER! I may not like it much, but I'll still watch it whenever I want and complain about it whenever I want.
huskerlady 04/28/2003
I have changed the channel so many times when Joy Behar makes her senseless comments. She really needs to realize that the majority of her fans are West of New York and not as interested in her liberal thoughts. I have NEVER heard this woman say a kind word about anyone or anything. I have e-mailed several times to make comments about her actions.
philc 02/24/2003
I'm surprised that there are so many negative comments about this show. The main reason I even watch talk shows is to see who is being interviewed. Barbara Walters is great and this shows her versatility (it's nice to see another side of her). Joy makes you laugh most of the time if you don't take her too seriously. Lighten up and just watch it once in a while and enjoy it.
brownin 02/15/2003
I used to like this show alot when it first debutted but now its just another "gossip" show in my opinion. Loved Lisa Ling since she seemed to be the most "reasonable" in her opinions, ideas etc but now that she has exited the show I don't have any reason to watch a bunch of annoying woman esp. that Joy woman (My least fave) who is just the epitomy of "negativity" just rant and rave all day. Not sure how her B-f Steve stayed with her all these years. She rates on my nerves with her annoying voice.
DeathRattle 02/15/2003
From the reviews and the time that I have watched the show, they have all the answers, and if you're not with them, then your wrong and a outcast. God what a stereotypical show. I Can't believe its still on.....not on major syndication. What a surprise.
kehmtk 02/14/2003
I love Barbara Walters. Starr Jones seems like a lady also. The rest of these women are not.
