04/19/2008 | Never watched it in prime-time. I enjoy the re-runs though. A love / hate thing for the cast. I like it, my wife won't watch it. Mostly due to David Spade. I have always enjoyed George Segal and Wendie Malick is very good. The quirky characters that drift through for a few episodes really help keep things fresh.

The networks figured that if people will watch crap, there was a more economical way of producing crap: stop paying actors. Not even the real talent of David Spade could save this show, that's how bad this was ...

01/18/2007 | I'll admit to watching "Just Shoot Me" when it started (say off and on the first couple of seasons), but the series quickly lost its way in my opinion. Laura San Giacomo (Maya) was often irritating, I never have been all that impressed with David Spade (Finch), Enrico Colantoni's character (Elliot) was just too overachieving to be believable, and George Segal just seemed loud. On the other I've usually liked Wendie Malick (Nina), and she did a decent job on this show. Moreover, the series suffered from repetitive storylines and base plots. Nevertheless, I'm rounding up to three stars since there were worse shows on during the 90's.

02/03/2006 | Had many classic episodes including anytime Donny appeared (Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot pie!, Donny thinks it's a vacuum) as well as "You're A Mean One, Mr. Finch," "Finch Goes To The Cat Show," and "Maya and Elliott get hitched at Rev. Chop Chop's Church of the Rising Sun."

04/20/2004 | They need to rename the show to Just Change Me (as in change the channel). George Segal and David Spade have talent, but were wasted in this mess. Nothing about it was remotely funny. It proved my theory that models, on the whole, are an uninteresting and unfunny lot.

04/12/2004 | Good actors, but why would you waste their talent on this so-not-funny c**p. After watching a few episodes, where 'Finch' wastes his time getting models that are too good for him, 'Jack' acts the total j*****s, 'Maya' spends her time dreaming, 'Elliot' gets chicks that would look down on him in reality and 'Nina' goes on like a b***h, nothing really changed. 'Just Shoot Me!' is a good choice of title, though.

11/15/2003 | This show was always very funny and entertaining, but like any good show, it left with respect. That is how it should be. If they stay on the air too long (like the Simpsons, Bernie Mac, etc), they just get really stupid and ruin the shows respectability later on.

04/12/2001 | Just Shoot Me has had a pretty good run, but David Spade is so annoying now, and his character has gotten so used and old, and the show just isn't aging well. The scripts are not as funny as they used to be with plots like "the boss thinks that his worker has murdered someone", or something like a plot straight out of 9 to 5, but today it's really lost it's momentum.

03/29/2001 | I have some suggestions on why there are so many comments about "the show used to be great, now it's just good." I started watching the show to see the jokes and pranks between "Nina" and "Elliot & Spade." I think the dynamics between the two parties has been played enough and needs new "players."
For a change, it would be great to see jokes and pranks steadily between "Mia" and "Spade & the mailman." Also, if Mia could evolve into Nina's character or at least one show where they switched roles, that could draw alot of laughs. If Mia loosened up a little (maybe even a belching contest), the jokes would be plentiful.
I enjoyed the ending tonight. Did you really need viewers' opinions to see it was the best ending to that episode?

I must say, however, that I am so very disappointed with the last episode which aired December 14th.
A man on the show lost his dog. He explained that his dog ran away when he went to rescue someone in the park who was having a seizure. He said that he used his dog's collar to hold down the man's tongue.
This is really absurd and extremely dangerously misleading. You should NEVER EVER attempt to hold down a person's tongue if that person is having a seizure. That is one of the worst mistakes you can make.
I now fear that someone who watched that show may actually believe this "sad joke" to be serious.
The writers really should be more careful in the future. What they think is funny... could actually be harmful in the long run.

Maybe you don't beleive about where i'm writting you, I'M from Chile, I live in a city called Temuco, here where the devil lost his way (a joke), I always see your show, seems to me very nice, and it enterteinent me so mucho, it makes me laugh at lot, over all that Finch, he works on the play as a Secretary I'm a secretary so, his way to be seems to me very familiar, that kind of things always happen, really I love and enjoy your show very much, in fact I made some arregements to not let to see this program. I Think Sony E. made a very good decision to follow with this show.
Really you are one of the best.

I am a fan of David Spade and think he is funny but this show gets so old, so fast. It is the same story line over and over with the same jokes that aren't that funny.
