This show is past it's prime and the writers rarely write a non-political sketch that is clever and laugh-worthy. Three stars overall because the last 10-15 years have reduced the prestige and originality of the first 20+ years. (You may notice that the above list of performers does NOT include Tracy Morgan or Chris Farley, whose so-called talent is now the rule and not the exception).

Man, like a roller-coaster......this show has been hit or miss each season. Gone are the days of Aykroyd, Belushi, Chase, Curtin, Murray, Radner and Morris. BUT, they sure did set the stage for the up-and-comers.......some of which were smash-hits while others were panty-waste. SNL's early days opened the doors for: Al Franken, Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscapo, Billy Chrystal, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, Kevin Nealon, Dennis Miller, Mike Myers, Chris Rock, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Molly Shannon, Will Ferrell, Darrell Hammond, Chris Kattan, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen and Andy Samberg. Those names that were NOT mentioned were done so on purpose. They are not funny, have brought SNL to its all time lows and are basically POS (Pieces Of Sh*t)

Its ok, and has produced some of the best comedic moments ever on TV. I am just rarely home on saturday night to watch it

I love this show. Its very very funny. If there was any more stars i would give it.

Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny since before I was born.

The older I like better but its still a really funny show.

Not a big fan of the show in general, though I've seen funny skits here and there. I know it's popular to get a laugh by insulting public figures, but it's never been my cup of tea.

I love saturday night live! It's so funny, and it looks like the people who are doing it a are having fun too. When I get older i want to be on snl.

nowadays it would rate as a 1, but I still give it 3 stars for the saturday night live's of the past. There are some truly legendary SNL's from the 70's, 80's (not so much the 90's, but better than today's)

Some of their skits are funny, most are just filthy, but I love the one they did about Jeopardy when they had Sean Connery as one of the people.

Must not forget Chris Farley! SNL has always been entertaining.

I never saw this show until it was in re-runs 'cause I worked every Saturday night in the '70s. It was only amazing for a little while, but who can forget, "Nevermind."

It came out as I graduated HS. Have not watched for years, but never missed a Saturday the first 15 years.

I remember seeing the very first show. It has had it's ups and downs, but generally a good source of entertainment.

It isnt what it use to be honestly.. It still makes me laugh every now and then though. Worth watching every so often! I agree on the fact that the show seems to be past its prime.

Kirsten Wiig is the best cast member. Ever.

A once hilarious show that is well past it's prime. Dozens of its former cast members have gone on to become the premier comedic actors of their generations. No, however, the jokes are often too crude and even more often just fall flat, and the satire is too heavy-handed. A bright spot in the current lineup are the musical stylings of Andy Samberg's Lonely Island.

They have some great performances and skits that are just hilarious!

A great fun show and full of laughs and celibrity presence. Making fun of people and politician is awesome. And the bands playing are great at the end.

The first 10 years were great, since some new faces have been great but overall it is less and less good.

Good platform for entertaines and social comment. A greater conscience and the taking of responsibility for it's impact on the opinions of the niave should be considered .

I don't watch it much anymore but I am still a big fan of the show.
I still remember stumbling onto watching the first show in 1975.

It's okay but needs to produce more diverse subjects that can appeal to all. Not nearly funny enough and mean and nasty at times. This does not mean funny!
