most of the people who don't enjoy south park either A. refuse to accept criticism of the belief/person/thing mocked in the south park episode they watch or B. can't take a step back and enjoy the humor without becoming personally involved. Also, qman the kid, you should really change your article. you talk about how immature south park is, yet judging from review it looks like you still haven't graduated junior high.
fitman 08/03/2009
I can only comment on the brilliance of past seasons, as I kicked the TV habit over five years ago. However, I suspect, the show isn't as funny as it once was, 'cause few - if any - manage to stay fresh and funny for this long.
Qman the kid 08/01/2009
this show is just very juvinile soon it will make fun of something you like. i only like the episode with the chinese guy and the huns. and how is a little 8 year old kid dieng funny its just cruel.oh hahahaha a little boy died WTF!? it even makes fun of animals jesus christ they make fun of animals from bears to fish! i mean good god how do you make fun of fish!!! and the storry lines just get worse by the season! and they make fun of religions from judeisum to christianity and muslum! i mean my friend angel is 10 so he thinks its cool to act like cartman! and go ahead and critisize me and then grow the fuck up! i mean good god people!
PCPeter774 06/12/2009
Good political and social satire. However Stuff like mr. Hankey didn't really tickle my funny bone.
MervinDePervin 09/27/2008
One of the greatest animated comedies of all time. No topic remains untouched and with each passing season a an entirely unique cornucopia of ideas is exploded onto the screen. From trying to sell aborted fetuses as shrimp, catching shuriken in the eye, shitting out of your mouth or watching the most prominent religious figures come together to battle a giant John Wilkes Booth this series has it all. As a side note, those that have rated low based on misconceptions about the target audience, it is a teen/ adult comedy. Just because something is animated doesn't mean it has to be for children. Those that rate it low because it is "blasphemous", you are the narrow minded sheepish reason that they write episodes on religion. Wake up and smell the giant steaming pile of lies, religion is bullshit and your feeble mind can't comprehend the comedy present in South Park because it doesn't tell you that Santa Jesus is bringing presents when you die.

its fuuny my fav is brintenys new look its funny
oldiesmusicfan 101 08/21/2008
If you can see past the bad animation, the crudeness, the supposed stupidness, and anything else I'm missing, this is actually a very smart show. Makes fun of anything and everything, takes no prisoners and takes no sides. Just a sample of what it takes shots at are Christians, Jews, Fascists, Non smoking organizations, whites, Indians (or First Nations), the government and celeberties. It might make fun of conservatives one episode only to make fun of liberals the next, somehow has stayed fairly original throughout 7 (is it more?) seasons. Not for everyone, but a smart, funny series overall.

may put a grin on your face but nothing compared to reno 911
Spike65 07/15/2008
Obnoxious and funny. Watch it long enough and they'll skewer all of us. I didn't care for the Mel Gibson episode much. And I wish they didn't bash Christians so often. Unfortunately all too popular with kids that are too young to watch it. For college age and older please. The movie version was just too crude for words.
1dragontat 06/25/2007
I love how they show just how stupid some people and ideas can be.
Bawls 06/24/2007
This show is an utter classic that has countless jokes that may be only described as GENIOUS! Whenever South Park makes fun of someone or something, it's almost always dead-on and hilarious. From Al Gore as a lonely guy trying to make friends to Paris Hilton as the "Stupid spoiled Whore." The fact that the show has made it to 11 seasons is astonishing, but how it's remained fresh and funny is a great achievement. So, salute Matt and Trey for the greatest TV series EVER and just watch it!
vikingscool 05/16/2007
South Park is best comedy show than the Simpsons! I had funwatching these episode of this show! :) :) I won't let South Parkwill be cancel or kicking the bucket, don't! My favoritecharacter of Kyle and Cartman.
Ben999 02/11/2007
Great show but it's not for everyone. There are no bounderies with this show. I'll admit some episodes seem to cross the line (5 year old cancer patient that dies at the end of the episode because his hockey team loses a game) but most of the shows make fun of people that should be made fun of ex. Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise.
Limpin' Trenchfoot 11/08/2006
Great. Any show that mercilessly shows up religious zealots, right-wing nutters and politically correct liberals for the self-important and humourless feckers they are gets my vote.
CanadaSucks 10/29/2006
A show that lampoons Christians, Jews, Gays, Scientologists, just about everyone in Hollywood and white-people-from-Colorado? We need more of this kind of TV. . .
KIZKEN 10/29/2006
either you hate it or love it :)
pickleloaf 06/21/2006
very funny and intelligent show. on the surface there is the silly dirty humor and underneith there is a message to it all. well orchestrated.
ungodlyugly 06/21/2006
Funny at first, then just obnoxious.

SCREW YOU GUYS, I'M GOING HOME ! ! ! ! - - - - ->>>
SiamTor 10/29/2005
Very funny show that fears nothing ... takes on all topics and personalities as fair game. The new season starts next week and they're signed up for 3 more years, so something to look forward to in these times of mostly dreadful programs. "Screw you guys, I'm goin' home" ... priceless! Try these 5 episodes, just off the top of my head, and if you don't find these hilarious and poignant, then South Park just isn't for you: 1) Michael Jackson moves to South Park (I'm Peter Pan, hee hee, Shimona) ... and the local police don't like it. 2) Butters falls for a "Raisins" Girl but she's only interested in one thing, and it 'aint love ... and Stan becomes a Goth, for lack of love. 3) Cartman and Jimmy both enter the Special Olympics, Cartman as a mentally retarded boy and Jimmy all jacked up on steroids, to win the monetary first prize. Hmmmm, sound familiar? 4) Jimmy and Timmy, the 2 "crippled" boys, join a local gang to be with their own, unfortunately it's the "Crips". Talk about mistaken identity. 5) Telepsychic John Edwards is found out to be "The Biggest Douche in the Universe", oh yeah, and he can't read minds. Very insightful stuff and these guys sometimes write an episode the same week it airs so it's always current and fresh ... and Kenny always dies.
Kairho 10/21/2005
Clever writing but why do the think they need obscenities to be funny.
Wolves_R_Cool 10/19/2005
probably the only thing worth watching on Comedy Central. it follows the adventures of four foul-mouthed boys living in a small town in Colorado called (what else?) South Park. Everything from anal probes, giant monsters and robots attacking, and violence galore can be found in South Park. Cartman is the funniest of the characters because of all the things he does. the show is not afraid to offend anyone which makes it interesting.
Penzoate 10/04/2005
Hillarious and outrageously funnie. ; , characterized for its crappy animation and more notably the negative portrayal of celebrities, especially that of the political persuasion
louiethe20th 08/28/2005
Morally decadent!Sacreligious!Mind rot for those who seek the lead of these two reprobates that created it.
slycooper 08/28/2005
South park is the best cartoon ever made.
Fitzpatrick 08/16/2005
A revolutionary show that rivals The Simpsons for best animated comedy ever. Really breaks boundaries and is waaaaay funnier than alot of other crappy things spewed out from Comedy Central. Probably one of the funniest things i've ever seen in my life is Cartman telling The Aristocrats. Awesome! By the way, this review's gonna cost you about threefiddy.
rockstarjoker 07/05/2005
Offensive most of the time, but well worth the bruised ego! Thought Provoking and hilarious at the same time!
GenghisTheHun 06/24/2005
I watched it enough to learn that it was not appropriate for kids to watch.
texasyankee 06/17/2005
It might be old to some of you but I didn't get to watch it when it was new, I like watching the repeats and I even love watching it over again. Just so you know this show is on really really late at night. If you have a small child flipping through channels at that hour, you got something wrong.
1JohnDoeFan 05/28/2005
This show probably offends just about everyone in the world. It doesn't matter!!! Trey Parker and Matt Stone are flippin' hilarious. Every single episode I have watched makes me laugh out loud (The only show that does so.) People need to get their noses out of their @sses and just enjoy the brilliant comedic values of this cartoon phenomenon. Truly OUTSTANDING!!!
dpostoskie 05/20/2005

allknowingknow itall 05/17/2005
Funny! Its corney but amusing. Sometimes it doesn't get a little too sick for me. (why on earth do they have towlley?) But overall its just one of those shows you adore cause the make fun of everybody.
kattwoman 05/13/2005

shadowlink 04/19/2005

puppypaws08 04/06/2005
funny !!
KandeG 03/28/2005
They'll keep doing what no one thought could be done on TV. The boldness of it is what makes it so great.
chickenlover 03/11/2005
this show rock's and is funny as hell
mtbmlb 03/09/2005
It's extremely obnoxious, but funny.
max9 02/25/2005
Badly drawn childlike animation with a twist . If you can get past the cheap animation you will find an extremely funny show . There is a bunch of social commentary hidden deep inside this childish crap . It took me a while to appreciate this show , now Im hooked ....its funny .
andillus 02/09/2005
It's a very brilliant, hilarious show. Everyone who says it's just a vulger, childish show obviously doesn't understand the various social/political undertones that are involved in almost every episode. Maybe if they looked beyond all the fart and fat jokes, they might see something far more intelligent.
sfalconer 02/09/2005
South Park goes where other shows would never think of even going near. No subject is taboo and the show says what we all think. The fact that wisdom comes from little kids is what gives the show its appeal and it edge comes from the constant stream of bleaps. The show would not be as funny with out the bleeps, the movie proved that.
Skizero 02/09/2005
briliant but uneven comedy. obviously past its prime. i've seen some episodes now that have been very scathing and humerous, and quite a few lately that have bombed. when Matt and Trey are specific in their target the comedy usually work. when attacking a flavor or the month, not so much.
bbutler76 02/08/2005
I love this show. Nothing is off limits; they make fun of everyone and everything. The fact that tight a** conservatives hate this show makes me love it even more. By the way, for all of you parents who think that this show is for kids. Get a clue. This is an adult cartoon and if you don't want your kids to watch it; use a channel block.
Titan87 02/08/2005
I love the fact that it makes fun of people. However, what is better than teaching? SUCKIN' BALLS!!!!!!!!
macg2005 02/01/2005
mmmmkkkkaaayyy great show see the movie Team America too
Djahuti 01/28/2005
When it's funny it's very funny, when it's not it's just plain juvenile.Often, the humor is subtle-just as often it is crude but hilarious anyhow.
Solenoid DH 12/31/2004
When writers have no creative ideas, they resort to filthy language, and think that will make us laugh. It will never work for me.
The Slacker 12/23/2004
After reading all of the comments, excluding classictvfan of course, I still think this is a good natured show that makes fun of everything. The characters are so true to life makes it more enjoyable, the plot is funny and usually what a real kid would do(example: the episode where they get the weapons and go off in there little world), the cursing is also very realistic, and making fun of famous people are the best episodes. Really a great show.
