12/16/2005 | I just love the story line and all of the actors don't change anything.I've watched this show for years and I've also watched The Bold and the Beautiful ever since It's been on, since this new girl with Nick's baby has come on there and said she is a lesbian I will not watch it any more.

Soap operas are weird...really weird. Some people have like no drama in their lives, so they think they can get it from TV?! pshh. I once saw one and there was this lady that had a boyfriend and was cheating on him and he found out and was bawling his eyes out..talk about weird.

01/28/2005 | I started watching when Another World was cancelled. But was disapointed at firrst because Jake & Vicky and Cas were supose to transfer here. Well jake came and viky was there once in a while then they Kill Jake but I have stuck with it and enjoy it

03/25/2004 | Love this soap! Started watching it after getting bored with Days, GH and OLTL. Some great writing, with the best lines going to Hunt Block,(Craig) and Roger Howarth(Paul). Mark Collier( Mike) is HOT!!!! Alison is a moron but I still like her. Dusty needs a new hairdo ASAP, that combed back old Italian grand pa look has got to go. I think I'm the only person who actually likes the Lily mourning for Rose storyline.

08/13/2003 | I love this show and never miss it! Even though I can't stand the Aaron and Lucy storyline (they are related!)and get annoyed by Rose, but I love the rest! I can't get enough of Paul Ryan and James Steinbeck. I miss the last Paul but LOVE his replacement (ex Todd on OLTL). He is my favorite soap actor ever and have watched him since I was a little girl. I recommend this soap to anyone.

06/28/2003 | The people rating these soap operas are unbelievable! How can As The World Turns be last, even lower than Port Charles, in ratings of soap operas! Have any of you watched it recently? It has the best writing of any soap opera, and the characters are well played and intriguing! This show is awesome, and deserves to be in the top three!

05/28/2003 | Give Mike a bigger storyline and give Jack someone he deserves - someone better than Carly. Craig and Rosanna are perfect for each other - a real match made in hell! Allison was really annoying in the beginning - but since her release from prison she's been better. I don't know why she was so hot and bothered over Aaron (who's cute but no drop dead gorgeous hottie) when there was someone like Chris Hughes around!!! Yummy! Rose needs to go away and Holden needs to be brought out of the shadows. Get rid of Babs and somebody tell me why Jake had to die - why????? And if Mike came back, why can't Mark come back? Bring him back instead of bringing James back all the time.

05/24/2003 | I used to love this show, but lately it has just gotten boring. I like Rose, but not Lily, she`s just boring. The thing between Carly and Craig is about the only interesting thing going on right now. I think the show could do without the Aaron kid. He`s not a very good actor and the storyline between him and Lucy needs to liven up. Like maybe she ends up pregnant and Craig presses charges against Aaron for rape, or something like that. It just needs spice.

02/03/2003 | Get rid of Lilly and Rose with that God-AWFUL high-pitched annoying rag of a voice and that assinine Aaron...yawn...what a goofy smile on that kid. Do something with Lucy's hair, someone kill Barbara off in a meat grinder accident and man, what a great show it would be. The characters are fantastic, except for the above mentioned fools.

11/27/2002 | Number One Soap - I have watch this soap with my Mom and Grandmother alone with the Guilding Light.
But As the World Turns has passed up Guilding Light though it does not get the rating that it should. The writing is excellent. I laugh, cry and am happy at the same time. Craig is the best - does he have children? He was great a dad on Guilding Light and an excellent dad on As the World Turns. He is a great actor. Please don't let Carly be pregnant with Mike's child this will destroy this soap. Let Roseann go back to All My Children where she is needed badly.

05/31/2001 |  Way too boring. It seemed as if it was getting somewhat interesting, but now its nothing. I hardly look at it anymore. I like Carly and Jack, but not the way the writers have been portrating them. Its almost as if instead of redeeming Carly's character, they have cheapened it with she and Jack carrying on an affair while he was yet married to the Julia. Don't get me wrong, I do not nor have I cared for Julia's character. People who have to pretend to be so nice, all the while knowing that they have an agenda does not settle with me. Barbara is a foolish woman and mother. She need not spit out motherly epithets to her children when she doesn't have a clue as to what they mean. I am so tired of trouble marking on the doorstep of Lily and Holden. when are they truly going to be happy. I thought Damian was supposed to be a priest. Please do not put Lily and Simon back together. I am so tired of that saga. ATWT needs to make their characters more interesting, because right now in my opinion, they have truly lost their flavor.

04/06/2001 | Enough with the Lillie-twins story line. It's boring and has dragged on too long. If you can't find a storyline interesting enough to write about, bring in new characters but not the look-alike thing. We've seen this across all the soaps too often. Get a little more original.

11/18/2000 | I literally grew up on soap operas and I have seen many come and go. As The World Turns is by far one of the BEST shows I have ever seen. The incredible talent of the cast amazes me each and every day, as does the writing and producing. What I like most about ATWT is the fact that it is the most realistic soap! Corporate backstabbing, intrigue, realationships and yes, affairs. You won't find any space ships, demons,
witches or any of that nonsense. It's down to earth and you feel as though you know these people. You cry with them, laugh with them and root for the good guys! Keep up the good work ATWT!

12/18/1999 | New Executive Producer Chris Goutman has made some positive changes, none of which amount to a hill of beans in the scheme of overall quality. His biggest mistake was hiring Leah Laiman as Head Writer in lieu of keeping the Emmy winning Lorraine Broderick. While many complained of drawn-out plots under Felicia M. Behr and Broderick, there is no denying that the stories were extremely compelling, rich with character history and integrated all the characters in many cross-over plotlines. Leah Laiman has reduced the show to trite dialogue, isolated characters and rehashed old plots that ran their course long ago. If they continue with this trend, ATWT will go the way of Guiding Light to me -- turned off!
