Years ago I used to watch soap operas some times because nothing else was on. I didn't have cable. One day I saw something on the Bold and the Beautiful that was disgusting and twisted. It was so sickening that I never watched a soap opera again.A man was at a place with a married woman. It either came a tornado or an Earthquake and the two of them had sex. Later the woman felt guilty for cheating on her husband and the man who she slept with told her that they did no wrong. Where I come from infidelity is wrong no matter what. This man was said to have one of the best minds of the 20th century. A man who does something so vile can't have one of the best minds. He had one of the most twisted minds but not one of the best.Whoever wrote that crap, has a sick mind. He or she doesn't need a psychiatrist. He or she needs a team of psychiatrists. I give that writer a 1 star rating.

I've always liked the show, but am getting awfully tired of the writers keeping Stephanie in such a bitch mode. It's been overdone & I'm tired of seeing her in everbody's face with no one having the spine to stand up to her! Give SOMEONE a backbone on this show ------PLEASE !!!!!
MTstic 07/29/2007
Watched this show from day one and continue to love it. Susan Flannery and John McCook are the best.

I STARTED BACK WATCHING EVERYDAY DUE TO NICK AND TAYLOR BEING TOGETHER. THE CHEMISTRY IS GREAT. ALSO, GET THE MURDER PLOT OVER AND LET ASHLEY AND BROOKE BATTLE FOR RIDGE EVEN THOUGH ASHLEY AND RICK HAVE MORE CHEMISTRY THAN RICK AND PHOEBEE. ALSO, STEPHANIE DESERVES TO GET CELEBRATED FOR BEING THE BEST MOTHER ON ANY SOAP WHETHER GOOD OR BAD SHE IS SUPPORTIVE.
sticgirl 02/15/2007
Best soap ever. We have Susan Flannery and John McCook for 20 years!

What a cast and now we have the addition of Betty White in a recurring role. I love this show now.

Brad Bell sure has improved his show! It was a fantastic idea to bring the fine actress, Betty White aboard. Love the new storylines and also you can't miss with Susan Flannery.
DwayneRB 01/15/2007
B&B has become my favorite. Bringing Betty White on has brought masterful acting. She will be back. Flannery is another great reason to watch. If you love good acting, this is the show. I'm very saddened to hear today that Darlene Conley (Sally) passed away from cancer.

The writers did an excellent job with the interaction of Betty White and Susan Flannery playing mother and daughter. Bring Betty back very soon! I love this show.

12/23/06 This show used to be criticized for its catfights. Talk about you've come a long way, baby! Flannery and White electrocute the viewer and make us long for the next bolt. Luminous in the hour-long doom of hare-brained plots, this sl in particular is really unprecedented, despite the hair-raising telescoping of emotional work and process which winds up so escalating the drama that you have to tape and keep replaying to track down the incredible multidimensional work of the two wonderwomen and the writers. John McCook, what a sweetheart and especially starting the Carol at the piano, talk about Christmas! The awards will have to create a new category for this one.
JuneF 12/13/2006
The storyline and acting by Betty White has made this show #1.
ChrisBob 11/15/2006
Lots of news for B&B watchers lately. Our "Sally" played by Darlene Conley is extremely ill with stomach cancer. Pray that she recovers. The good news is Betty White will be on soon as Stephanie's mother.
BB2004 11/04/2006
I watch B&B and Y&R each day and love them both. Susan Flannery has always been a superb actress and I can't wait for Betty White to portray her mother. Excellent soap.
AsuzaSt 11/01/2006
Totally love the fact that precious Betty White is joining the show next month as Stephanie's mother. I've watched B&B from the beginning.
Tuna 10/31/2006
The ratings will really go up when BETTY WHITE joins the cast next month as Stephanie's mother!! This should be a wonderful storyline.
CloudTen 10/26/2006
Love this show mainly due to the cast: Susan Flannery, John McCook, etc. Seems like they have managed to keep the same characters (and most actors) on the show since the inception, which makes it special.

Enjoying the current episodes. Stephani is on the right track. Its about time that someone was concerned about the millions of women who love quality fashion and are bold in their respective professions and enjoy looking beautiful. We're in.B. B Boston

bubbaknowsbest 03/25/2004
Lots of fun except for Brookes constant whining and crying. Maybe she'll get hit by a bus soon and Ridge will finally wake up from his coma, lol....Some great new additions to the cast like Jack Wagner, Sydney Penney,Lorenzo Lamas...

Ewwwww! I hate this soap opera! I fell asleep watching it. I would never ever recemend anyone watching it. It is the worst soap out there.
trainer 11/15/2003
would be better if it gave characters other than Ridge story. Thorne deserved story.
bold_eden 11/08/2003
I have loved BnB for a long time. Susan Flannery and John McCook are the best, and they make B&B so classy and worthwhile to watch. I can´t stand most other characters right now because the show isn´t as good now as it used to be. I miss the good old days! Stephanie is the best!
mllelarisa 11/02/2003
Pure rubbish! It does my head in to watch this show, it's painful.
LoyalStephie 10/28/2003
Overall, the best soap ever created.

It's hard to decide if B&B or Y&R are #1, but I love B&B and the Forresters. Susan Flannery and John McCook are such excellent actors.
lotr417 05/28/2003
I hated soaps - until the Bold and the Beautiful. I miss Taylor (Hunter Tylo) but they've managed to keep it spicy and interesting all the same. Every time I think they should just get rid of Brooke, she screws up again and makes the story interesting. I feel like they're all my neighbors! I wish it was an hour, 30 min just isn't enough.
hawfit 05/24/2003
I think the show has a lot of potential, I just think that lately they have become to predictable in the twists dealing with Brooke. However the twist with Amber having a twin, I didn`t see coming. I also liked the show Capitol. I don`t see why they cancelled it.
tough customer 05/07/2003
theres nothing bold or beautiful about it

Brad Bell, You are the Best, 30 minutes of shear bliss. I have benn with BB since day one and you have not missed a beat. Your cast is outstanding. Keep up the great work. RING THE BELL!!!!!
klytie 04/04/2003
I'm glad the Taylor character is gone- I hate when they're too goody-goody! I wish Ridge would leave, too- he's so cheesy.
philc 04/03/2003
This program has really improved as the years went by and the acting is superb. Kudos to Susan Flannery and John McCook. The Forresters are the best.
ILoveVancouver 01/03/2003
I love this soap. My favorite actress is Jennifer Finnigan who plays "Bridget". I absolutely hate Katherine Kelly Lang who plays "Brooke". This horrible actress cannot act her way out of a wet paper bag to save her life...
KyManda 08/07/2002
I love the show...I feel like I can relate to a lot of the characters. There is always a lot of drama going on to keep me interested!
ctom71 02/15/2002
I have been watching the bold and the beautiful almost from the beginning. I am really disgusted with the way things are going right now. Brooke being preganant with Deacon's baby is a really bad story line. I realize Brooke sleeps with everybody but her daughter's husband is really low. Plus Brooke and Deacon falling in love. Come on a month ago, Brooke was in love with Ridge and Deacon was trying for Amber. I am really disappointed with this show.
persephone 11/05/2001
I love this show. The Forresters are wonderful...so dynamic. The acting and writing are strong and sharp, and the stories are compelling.

GLAD TO SEE TAYLER GO.LET RIDGE FIND OUT ABOUT TAYLER AND JAMES AT THE CABIN
Dazewriting 07/05/2001
Okay, I didn't plan on liking this soap. It was just always on in the break room. The whole Deacon saga has me hooked though. It moves a little slow for me but I like what I am seeing.
nwando 07/03/2001
I love that show forever. It's so intriguing .
Netta 06/27/2001
I feel that this show has become one of the most out standing soaps that every live. One exception I have is with Brook and here daughter-in-law. Tell me why do these to ladies always have to have penis on the brain. Over all, the show is still excellent. Thanks!
LMaxwellP 05/31/2001
I'd have to say its getting there because of two people, Deacon and now the young fashion designer at Spectra(Jessie from Guiding Light). I honestly think that he will take Spectra to newer heights. Its about time. I am really tired of the Forresters except for Stephanie, Taylor and Amber. I hope that Deacon and Bridgette have sex because it will teach the Forresters that just because you have money, you still do not get by treating people as if they are beneathe you. I tell my husband all the time, and we laugh, but its so amazing that the mighty Forresters and all of their wealth and power can't do a darn thing to save Bridgette. Deacon has the power and h is showing them that he can be just as cruel and vindictive as they can. One last thing, I am really tired of Brooke blaming Amber for everything. She thinks that Amber is responsible for Deacon being in their lives, well I hope that Rick tells them that he is the one that paid Deacon to come into their lives. So it wasn't Amber who brought him in the mix, but her own son. I hope she cries harder for that. Then maybe it will make her look like the fool.

This is, in my opinion, the best soap opera on TV... I don't get why they don't make it an hour long. Yes, I agree with all who say Ridge is too wishy-washy and stuff... he isn't really all that--Brooke could do better than him! And Morgan... she's a complete nutcase. And Kimberly... UGH! It's about time they got rid of her... all to her character was obsessing over Rick. Now that I've done a little complaining, let me say why I love the show--Amber and Rick are just the cutest couple, they should always be together. True, Amber was once trailor trash, but she's changed into a much better person over the years I find. Also, gotta' love the strong rivalry between Brooke and Stephanie... Brooke, the ultimate seductress, and Stephanie, the one who demolishes what gets in her way! I will say, though, I wish Macy hadn't died... she was the ultimate "nice girl" in a soap... I guess that's why they killed her off. *sigh*
