Young & the Restless, has high and lows, but unfortunately, they have aired more on the low side of late. The whole Chloe, Lilly, Cane saga, I am so done with that, reveal the truth already, dragging it out is simply tedious and boring! Why can't they give Mrs. Chancellor a new love interest instead of Alzheimer's. I love Gloria I hope they continue to give her excellent story lines, and not that desperate crap they had her doing. Heather, can't stand her! Adam, can't stand him! Chloe can't stand her! Phyllis, good gracious give her a terminal illness already, for the love of Pete, get over her and move her out! The Jack and Adam team up, is lame, and boring! Bring back Tyra and shake up Neil's world a bit with a triangle romance. Make Sharon a power mogul, and divorce Jack, and shut up Phyllis and make Nick drool his way right back to her! Kevin's wife, she is so sickening, please silence her, she was better off behind bars. Now she is across between Martha Stewart and Mrs. Cravats across the street from Bewitch. Lauren, stop the botox, and have an affair on Michael and shake up that boring duo. Bring back Christine. Micheal's new step sister, oh bother, she is gosh awful, her delivery is so over the top it is like watching a train wreck, it isn't to soon to recast. Colleen, dating your best friends ex-husband, that is B.F.F rule #1, of do's and don't and that is numero uno don't. Plus she is going about it all wrong, she is acting super desperate. Cane is the hottest man on daytime, please give him some backbone, and don't turn him into another weak Nick.

I hate Nick and Phyllis together! On this show is there one person who can stay married and not cheat, these people move throught spouses like water!!!

I am not happy with the way the story line has gone relative to phyllis and her blackmail scheme. What about the loss of another family's mother which occured because of phyllis's blackmail scheme. dru is dead but it seems this is not important and is being downplayed in this story line what gives? Dru was an innocent bystander and phyllis actions contributed to her death. i give this a - rating

I have watched Y&R for 20 years. I loved the soap until the changes in writing and storylines. Everyone is either going to prison, killing someone, or stabbing each other in the back. I don't mind that type of story every now and then, but it's getting a little old to have it every day. They are trying to make too much drama. Eventually it will just be overly corny. I wish they would go back to the traditional storylines. It was awesome before!!!!!!!

I have been watching your show for 25 years and I think that killing NICK was a big mistake. Life is tuff enought with out more hurt. I hope you bring him back. This is not a good thing. I love to watch your show because it makes me for get my problems. That really up set me to know end. Please bring him back. My mother got me started watching 25 yrs ago. rating at this time is very Low+++++.

Used to be #1, but B&B is better now. The writing team on Y&R has changed so much.

It used to be my number one favorite. With the changes in writers, it is going downhill fast. At least some good actors are left, so now it is my number two favorite.

For one, I am a sixteen year old guy, so there aren't many of us watching "soap operas". But when I do get the chance to sit down and watch, Y&R is the one to look at. B&B is a close second, but this show just rocks! I even got some of my football buddies watching it....lol. It's cool, and I like the fast-paced storylines nowadays.

Best soap ever. The writers and powers that be are now speeding up the storylines and we have the same mixture of young and old characters with very interesting stories. Excellent acting. B&B is a close second.

I have been watch the Y/R since the show was 30 minutes long. I am only 35 years of age. I just want to say "The Best Show of all times". My favorite family are the Baldwin/Fisher family. Just love that Greg Rikaart and Christian Leblanc. I am voting for you two again for best actor and best supporting actor. Keep up the great work and keep on entertaining me.

Y & R is the BEST soap opera ever seen on TV; altough I wish they would leave Sharon and Nick for awhile and concentrate on someone else; they've been through enough for awhile. Great movie... can't wait to watch it from day to day!

This is the best soap opera ever aired. It has a mix of young actors and old actors, realistic and non realistic storylines and also deals with STD's and other educational information like abortion. It's opening theme is more like a primetime drama. I guarantee when all the soaps are cancelled, Y&R will be slightly improved to fit primetime and move down to that genre and eventually dominate.

GREAT SHOW

I think that Sharon Case is doing a great job.

When my Grandmother used to babysit for us during the summers, we'd watch Bob Barker and Young and Restless every day. My cousin and I would root for the guys, most notably David Kimball and Michael Baldwin. I would periodically check in during subsequent summers, but I was far too interested in playing baseball and chasing girls to invest anytime in a soap opera. Into my sophomore year in college though, I had 12 to 2 free, so I decided to tune into Young and Restless and I was once again hooked. This was around the time when Nikki was shot several times by her psycho maid. That led to Victor ruthlessly divorcing his current wife Diane to remarry Nikki, rationalizing that Nikki wouldn't live, and Nikki's wish was to always remarry Victor. Well, Nikki survived, and Diane got the shaft. This led to Diane hiring that schyster Michael Baldwin as her attorney, and they gouged a fairly hefty divorce settlement out of Victor, including a board seat at Newman Enterprises. Victor was so distracted that he lost control of his company to Jack and Brad. Eventually, Jack got Jabot back for his father, and Victor reclaimed control NE. Can't seem to remember how Brad fared, as it was around that time I tuned out. I think they returned to standard soap opera storylines, and the show was less entertaining without the takeover drama. I always found soap operas dull, but this one was good, especially whenever Victor and Jack had scenes together.

Sleeping has more entertainment value than this.

The young and the stupid. Predictable and boring. Hard to believe that a lot of people consider this to be a drama.

Soapoperas are perhaps one of the worst genres of television this side of reality television. They have replaced the daytime repeat and the daytime gameshow! They are mainly based around relationships and nothing more. Their lack of creativity and good acting is astonishing. There's hardly a positive role model to be seen. They air in the daytime replete with offensive content (TV-14 and up!) and more. This one is no exception. Can't compare to shows that have imagination and creativity; shows like Star Trek (and all of its great spinoffs!) and Green Acres.

There was a time years ago when there was ONE decent soap opera on television..and this was the only one. It had a great theme song as well. But of course they ruined that song just like they did the show. All daytime soap operas are a complete waste of time and feel generic to me if I watch them.....and Y@R is no exception...

I would like to say that you will lose a viewer if you let Newman defeat over Jabot. Victor's cheating should not be rewarded by beating the Abbott's. Victor has to go down. Let those people double cross him where he paid off.

It's been my favorite show since I can remember - 30 years ago! Great actors and actresses and most of the time it has interesting storylines. It's great to tape and watch in the evening.

Y and R hass the best plot lines tht arent silly and ridiculous like some of the soaps out there like Passions, they have good actors and stories as well!

I must say this about Y&R. It is refreshing to parents fro once take control of their teenagers instead of the teenagers having them. Its nice to see Dru put Lily in her place especially when she talks back. Y&R kep giving parents their control back when it comes to disciplining their children.

the last time i was a hardcore viewer of y&r was when victor was macking on hope (the blind chick). i don't get to watch it very often cuz of school or work, but when i do, its always very interesting. i like how characters aren't always thinking out loud cuz it really pisses me off when they do that

Are the writers having a writers block or are they on vacation? The story lines are making no sense and are being dragged out. 1. The story line of Chris and Paul needs to come to an end. 2. Olivia need to have a new male character and not Dusty who looks like her young brother. Why dont you juicy it up a bit by placing a young man battling from an illness and she helps him to get well, but He turns out to be her child's father's brother. And for Victor Newman, why cant you have a mistery character who keeps taking a small bite of Victor Newmans company, that Victor starts to loose money and focusing his attention on Jack Abbott that he's the one trying to destroy him, but that same mystery character is also taking a small bite of Jack's company. Now Victor and Jack are trying to distroy each other while the mysterey character just sits back and enjoys it. And in the end the mystery character is Victor's young brother who he left behind when he built Newman Enterprise Please think about it.

I've watched Y&R for about ten years now and for the most part, have really enjoyed it. But I'm turned off by recent storylines involving Sharon kissing Victor and now Brittany's mother kissing J.T. In fact, I turned the show off yesterday and I'm just not interested in the direction your writers are going in. Generally your storylines mirror real life situations but this time it's getting really twisted and you have lost a fan.

The show would be really good if Olivia would not try to sleep with her best friends husband, and if Nicholas would forgive Sharon, after all she hasn't done anything that he hasn't!

The best soap going with B&B running a notch behind it. This show is better than most of the evening programs, that's why a lot of us tape it and watch it at night when we get home from work. Some of the older and middle-aged actors are superb and it's very interesting when their characters are finally given good storylines. This show is a great distraction from our real lives.

I would like to see the end of Diane Jenkins and have Phyllis and Jack raise Kyle. Larry Warner is a very different and interesting character and someone that keeps viewers on pins and needles. He needs an interesting lover. Jill needs to get a life. Nikie and Victor needs to stay together this time and stay out of Nick, Sharon's and Victoria's lives Nick needs to start the forgiving process, he is no angel. He and Sharon give young couples hope when they are together and they both are great with Cassie and Noah. Sharon needs to become pregnant. Get them back together. Viewers have to wait to long for these stories to end. Victoria needs to get married and have a child we need to see if she would be a great Mother as Nick is a Father especially being Newman's.

I do not like the show. Feel it should be called "The Young and the Talentless"

young and the restless is a great soap.We know that Nick and Sharon have had their ups and downs but recently Sharon keeps taking punches from Nick, who we all know has cheated on her how many times ( 3 or more ) I would like to see Sharon throw some punches of her own and stand up for herself and not use her kids in this fight.I would like her to tell him right off and not to wait at home for him to see if he is in the mood to talk or just sulk like he has been doing.I think Sharon needs to go out and tell Nick to shape up or ship out there are more fish in the sea. As for Jack/Philis/Diane I can see this going places especially adding a plot with Isabella in it which could lead to her troubled past with Pauls worst enemy...I could write more but I do have a life to get back to before my eyes are set on The Young and The Restless in an hour..

Boring. All soaps suck. I can't understand how people can waste their time sitting at home watching this crap day in day out. Get a job people!

I have watched this show for 16 years and I love it!! Like many shows that have been on for any length of time, it has had it's ups and downs, but in my opinion it has been daytime's consistently best drama. All I can say is, when this show is hot, it's unbeatable!

This show would have gotten a 5, but I for one am sick and tired of seeing BREASTS hanging out every single day on almost all the women. Don't the producers realize that mostly women watch the show? I never see a butt or any other part of a male displayed on this show. The story lines do drag on , but I am glad to see Nick and Vic back together.Waiting for a good cat fight with Diane and Phyliss, hope the latter wins! Susie

The Y&R still needs better writing. Fresh and new storylines would bring my rating up much higher. They're still resurrecting old storylines for new characters.....I can go days without watching.

I LOVE THIS SHOW! Everything that happens on the show is bound to happen to anyone in real life! Thats why I love this show because it deals with real problems that young teens and adults deal with throughout their life!

Will I really like this show I started this show when the Newmans kids was coming home from School. I really like all the story lines except yes they are playing Victor and Nikki story line to death they need new love interst and I love that Nikki has come to her own like businesses now she just need a new love interest that is interest in her mind and body.
