We found St Croix to have many activities yet quiet & laid back. GREAT diving, excellent restaurants & beach bars, historical buildings & architecture, nice beaches. Rainforest & lush mountains in the west & north shore, tropical arid in the east makes for interesting & beautiful views!

We stayed at the Carambola and it was great! Make sure to rent a car though and try out some of the local food because there's not much to be said about resort food (just like most other places). Oh, and pack a bathing suit in your carry on, checked bags rarely make it to the island on time.

I not only went to St. Croix for pleasure, I also use to work there two summers on the row....nice island, but local people are impredictable. They could turn very agressive, and enviroment could be sacary for moments..... I'm not exagerating
