They have a decent brunch here. I don't like the crowd so much (located in laurel heights) but the service is ok and food is decent and close by my place. They had a really good chicken soup one day which was nice. Not so bad. Long wait sometimes.

I visited earlier in the week no less than 3 times. Yes there was await but it was definately worth it. The menu is delicious !!

Ella's is great. The food is excellent, but the wait is loooong (thus the rating of 4 instead of 5). I just heard though that they take reservations, although it may only be for large parties.

My parents and sister visited San Francisco last weekend, and I was looking for good place to take them for Sunday brunch. A friend recommended Ella's, a place I'd never been before, and I'm really glad she did. The food was great. I had the chicken hash, which was unique and really good. And I tried the french toast, which was excellent. The only downside is that the place seems to get really crowded. We got there right when the place opened, so we didn't have to wait for a table, but people who came soon after us had to wait a while.

Ella's is a terrific place for brunch. The food is excellent, especially the bread. I had the best sticky bun I've ever tasted there last weekend. I also recommend the chicken hash, the cheese grits with sun-dried tomatoes, and the French toast. I hear that there can be quite a wait for a table, so get there early.
