This is a decent enough restaurant in the Russian Hill section of SF. The menu is pretty varied and the food is good. Like most restaurants, it is pretty easy to get a table during the week - more difficult on the weekends (I'm not sure if they take reservations). I don't think I would go out of my way to go there, however. If you live in the area and have always wondered about it, check it out - you won't be disappointed. If you're visiting SF and looking for a good place to grab dinner, there are many other better choices.

I'm a fan of Rex Cafe. It's a nice-but-not-fancy midsized place near the corner of Polk/Union, and it serves lots of different kinds of food - pasta, enchiladas, meat loaf, salads, burgers... Everything I've tried has been good, but I think the chicken quesadillas are my favorite.

This is a cozy little restaurant. I ate there last weekend and had an excellent meal. The atmosphere is very pleasant (it's not as loud as many restaurants), and the menu includes a nice variety of items, from hamburgers to pasta to enchiladas. I had the special, which was meatloaf with mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, and baked tomatoes- the comfort food special! I'd definitely go back.
