 | Spike65 (11) 08/22/2007 | Probably the top rated comedy show from the era. Great cast, good to great writing and very professionally done. Still fun to watch on occasion.

 | SharonParry (42) 10/25/2006 | Rather ironic...both characters irritated me but I still watched and laughed at them. The show was pretty good, all in all.

 | VirileVagabond (32) 10/12/2006 | A nice twist on the "fish out of water" theme, as each fish puts the other in strange territory, the screenwriters for "The Odd Couple" did a relatively decent job at keeping the plots fresh. Nevertheless, the series ultimately suffered due to a limited premise and inflexible character traits. In other words, a premise that works great for a play (on which this show was based) doesn't always work for a running television program.

 | JohnSpina (17) 03/23/2006 | Deserves 100 stars.Klugman and Randall played well off each other.Klugman's Oscar often got exasperated at finicky Felix but never hated him.

 | Mr Nuetron (1) 12/09/2005 | Oscar,Oscar,Oscar. Murray use your coaster.Classic unger lines probably the only good idea that Neil Simon ever had.Still funny. The last season was awful though with that stupid kid who was all over the tv map in those days.In this case i think the series was better than the overacting Theatrical ham called Jack Lemon version was. Also loved when Felix honked his nose from whatever that affliction was.

 | PlayMisty (3) 09/23/2005 | There are more funny scenes and classic lines in this show that anything on TV today. Why it has not been officially released on DVD is a mystery. Does anyone in the New York area remember WPIX Channel 11 running this show for years and years at 11pm?

 | Flick01 (71) 04/12/2005 | One of those rare instances where a good movie was made into a TV show and it worked. In the movie, Lemmon and Matthau were an unbeatable team. Randall and Klugman played it their own way while still staying true to the original premise. If you should see the movie after viewing only the TV show you know of course that there are different players but you don't feel like you're watching an unfamiliar story. Destined to be up there with Lucy, MASH, The Honeymooners, and the other comedies that will always be popular whenever they are broadcast. Excellent writing and great delivery on the part of the actors made this one of the best offerings of 1970s television.

 | gusman1 (0) 03/28/2005 | ONE OF THE BEST COMEDIES EVER!! I just wish it was out on dvd. A show as good as this should've been out on dvd a loooong time ago, instead you get some of these newer ridiculous crappy shows that haven't even been out for several seasons yet.

 | Mat Mann (0) 09/13/2002 | A real sitcom classic and much better than the movie. Great chemistry between Klugman and Randall, reminiscent of teams like Abbott and Costello (who really hated each other off-screen: hope the same is not true of Jack and Tony). The in-house poker games, the bake-off episode, the delinquent clown hired by Felix for his daughter's b-day and the monastery episode are just a few of the many highlights. Take notes, current TV producers!

 | Solenoid DH (19) 02/21/2002 | This show didn't seem funny when it was contemporary, but it grows much better with time. The situations are rarely funny, but the dialogue always is.

 | ClassicTVFan47 (36) 12/26/2001 | Another classic comedy, this one based on a movie that is also a classic! The humor was always cool, and the acting was sometimes over-the-top, which only made it better. Crossed over with Gameshows several times also. Highly recommended!

 | stooge (0) 07/14/2001 | I loved the movie. When they decided to bring the movie to television they had the foresight to pick two actors that were very much like the characters. When you see Tony Randall in real life he is just like Felix. He is neat, he is well dressed, he speaks carefully and correctly, he is the character he played. On the other hand, Jack Klugman is very much like Oscar, wrinkled clothes and all. I think the fact that the actors were so much like the characters they played, that it made it so easy to believe and enjoy.

 | knowhere man (0) 06/26/2001 | The geatest opposites ever to be matched togeather. So good that I think of them that way in real life, it was so genuine. Always great writing and stories. Still enjoyable today and there are real people like them. Do you know any?

 | kissmerichard (0) 05/21/2001 | There is not one episode of this show that I don't laugh outloud at. Tony Randall and Jack Klugman were the best comedy team on TV.

 | callmetootie (4) 04/04/2001 | Penny Marshell was the only good part of The Odd Couple. For one thing, this show is totally odd and the humor is odd and the story is odd. Penny Marshell has a certain charm, but she just couldn't hold the show together herself. She was the only thing good about this series, and she would always gets bumped off by Tony Randell who was a total snob.

 | Lou28JG (0) 10/19/2000 | What else can you say, but this show was funny. No one else could play Felix as well as Tony Randall. Randall's and Klugman's on screen chemistry has never been matched.

 | kaat5793om (0) 04/11/2000 | This 1970-75 comedy was ABC's only adult-oriented comedy in its legendary Friday night lineup (Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Room 222 before, Love American Style after).
Its success speaks to great writing, direction, supporting cast (including Penny Marshall and Brett Somers) and above all, the excellent chemistry of Tony Randall & Jack Klugman as Felix & Oscar. The only time ever where (even counting "MASH" when a TV series outdid the quality of a film it stemmed from.
