This one should be put in a time capsule. It had to epitomize the era better than anything else for good or ill .

There was a time in my life when my week would be ruined if I missed this show or The Six Million Dollar Man. Sure, if you watch it today it comes off a little cheesy, but for the time it wasa great show. Don't tell me you didn't want a '74 Gran Torino or a pair of blue sneakers with white strips on the side because I won't believe you.

Can't believe this has such a low overall rating! Seeing Starsky in those tight jeans, Hutch's smooth moves and variant hair styles, the weekly body count, bad B actors in the supporting cast, the gay vibe between Starsky and Hutch.... I love scenes of old L.A., huggy bear, every girlfriend killed off, no cell phones....the best! Get it off netflix and compare with current shows, and you'll know what I mean.

A pretty good show for that time. Lots of action...shooting and car chases.

the best boys tv show of its time

Male Version of Charlies Angels with stupid car and pimp in tow.

Now these are two cops I like, tough, honest but at the same time like two kids that are always getting into trouble..in other words they aren't perfect. The friendship you can see is for real and this is what makes the show so good.

it was an ok show but it was a cool car. huggy bear was a cool character. he put some personality into the show. glaser and soul were emotionless actors.

This is the very best buddy/cop show of all time!!! The chemistry and friendship between the characters and between the real life actors, David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser were magical and made the show the unique and wonderful show that it was.

I really really thought these guys were cool. I know they made a stupid movie recently but did not watch because I figured that it was turning starsky n hutch into a mockery.

Over the top. This had a low budget, karate movie sensibility and was more of a vehicle for teenage girls to ogle the macho/prettyboys that starred in this ho-hum waste of film.

Best programm ever on TV. I was ten when it first came on TV (I'm in London England, by the way) Still love it now, own all the DVD's, video's of the series and collect memorobilia. Still holds it's own amongst all the crap that's on nowadays. The relationship between Starsky and Hutch was what made the show, without that it would never of had the longevity that it's enjoyed. BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT!

Right up there with Charlies Angels which was on at the same time era. the scripts were pretty cheesy they drove a cool car. for awhile this was a very popular show. I hear the movie version is tongue in cheek. this was my younger brothers famous show he even got a car that looked similar to the Starsky and Hutch car except it was green.

Some of these shows were really quite good, most run of the mill. I liked Capt. Dolby, always screaming at these two guys...wondered how come they never got fired.

Oh yeah...here we go! Great show! I had the hugest crush on PMG! Do they have reruns of this at all?
tmfan1046 10/30/2003
Starsky and Hutch had a good humor to the show as well as action and adventure. They were two very handsome men. Hutch was my favorite.

Starsky and Hutch was my top favorite TV show of the 1970s. I am a 51 year old woman and carried a torch for Starsky. Hutch, Captain Dobey, and Huggy Bear were also important parts of the show.

Can't wait for the movie!!!

Sure, lots of the stories were bad. The thing I liked about theis show was the interaction between the characters, especially the two leads. The car was cool too!
Texx 11/23/2001
Where's Huggie Bear these days? Used to love the car and got a remote control one for Christmas. It was one of those seventies kinds that had a wire from the controls to the car and the lights never worked. That's a metaphor for the show. It was held back by a terrible score and mediocre acting and somehow Glaser and Soul never seemed to click just right.

Starsky and Hutch was an extremly goody and cheesy police show. You can't belive anything that happens on it, and some of the names that were given on the show were goofy too....huggy bear.

The cop shows today , don't even come close!
mymon1997 01/29/2001
My FAVORITE show of all time, ever since it first came out in 1975.(I was 15 yrs. old then)
lippi 01/13/2001
I never watched the show growing up, but have recently discovered the show on TNN. The bantering between Starsky and Hutch is the best part of the show. WOW a cop show where the dialog is sometimes more interesting than the action!!!
