Pretty good show from such a strange idea. Great until the kids grew up.

This was one darn preachy little comedy show. That's partly what I liked about it (and still do), and the cast was funny and talented. Two stars as an overall rating? To that I say, "Whatchootalkinbout?"

Arnold was the only interesting thing there. His parents stroked away millions of poor arnolds earnings. They should have made a show based on what happened to the characters in real life.Nbc advertised this show to death.

gary coleman was a cute little boy but he grew up into such an unpleasant young man. this cast of child stars has had their share of misfortune.

i watched this show because of dana plato and thats it stupid producers of that show fired dana plato well i hope there happy now because they drove dana to softcore porn and drugs and robbing video stores

Loved this show as a shorty

The last couple of years this show jumped way over the shark. They just ran out of ideas I suppose. There was actually one episode where the whole script was pretty much plagiarized from one of the Cousin Oliver episodes of the Brady Bunch--where they go to the movie studio and the family makes their own movie and gets into a pie fight.

Very funny comedy show! i give it only 4 stars because it wasn't as funny when Arnold grew older

A good family show, but it relied to much on Arnold. It just was not the same when he got older.

Mr. Drummond adopts two african american boys and their a great family! I love the show it truly shows what friends and family means.

Here's another classic comedy, from the people that brought us such classic shows as Facts of Life and Mama's Family! The scripts may have been unrealistic and acting childish, but of course, that made it all the more funny! Plus, the theme song was kickin' :)

worst show I ever saw.

Childish writing and scripts. Unrealistic plot lines bad stories and annoying characters,a very dated show that won't stand the test of time and already can't, how will it be in another 20 years?
morbidangel608 07/01/2001
This show is a classic. I love how Arnold, Willis, and Kimberly stick together, just like the three musketeers. Trt to compare this show to other now comedies they are ridiculous. This show is deffinitely the best EVER!!
Chillygirl 05/26/2001
Cute show. It is just a shame what happened to Dana, todd, and Gary!

Diffrent Strokes is the best show i ever seen
callmetootie 04/04/2001
Extremly childish scripts and show, but I could always see myself watching Diff'rent Strokes. Mrs. G was really funny.

A GOOD FAMILY SHOW BUT WILL IT STAND THE TEST OF TIME?
Cassie94 11/29/2000
A very funny show. The kind of show a child could watch with their parents unlike today's so-called comedies. What happened to it? I havn't seen it since the late eighties.
SamIAm 08/25/2000
Whatchutalkinbout Willis? Classic TV! A great comedic show that the whole family could enjoy. It was at its best with Mrs. Garrett as the housekeeper, of course. Unfortunately, these child stars are the epitome of child stars gone bad.
Munson 08/24/2000
I'm sure I couldn't handle it now, but I was always a big fan of this show. Who among us didn't think that Arnold was the rightful heir to The Little Rascals? Nothing could elicit a huge belly laugh like a well timed "What-chu talking 'bout, Willis?" Even thinking about it now brings a smile to face. I'm also quite impressed by how well the 3 Drummond children adjusted to life after the show.
