I can't understand how a show like this has such a large following. I had enough after watching the first six episodes. The acting jobs are a joke - particulary the guy who plays Xander. The characters are one-dimensional and have no real personality. And the plots are retarded. Seriously, you have to be under 15 to enjoy this show. I give it a two because Sarah Gellar looks really hot.

the pert young breast, and those tight little butts. Im getting a woodrow just thinking about it.

I loved Buffy big time. Helped that S-M G is one foxy little babe. There were some great stories, strong characterisation and a good balance between some genuinely creepy moments and wry humour.

Buffy was a very unique show with a great cast, superb writing and a show with it's own myth. It's hardly to describe how great Buffy was! BuFFy 4EVER! *BuFFy RuLeZ*

KMcK gave this show the perfect review, I don't know how I can do it any better. I will put my two cents in however. I do think Buffy the Vampire Slayer was possibly one of the best written television shows of my generation. The show always kept me watching and I was ALWAYS seriously entertained no matter what was going on. My favorite characters are of course, Buffy...who was perfect as the main Slayer. I also loved Faith in the seasons that she showed up, her character always gave me goose bumps. The Faith character was a really strong female, no matter how confused she was..she always kicked ass ! I loved her. I also loved how Buffy and Faith ended up being friends in the finale. When all the seasons end up on DVD, you can bet I will own ALL of them. One of the greatest shows ever. I truly miss it. It was cancelled way too early. (Note- it wasn't cancelled because of poor ratings, it was cancelled because of mind games played by 2 tv networks.)

Buffy was one of the greatest, and most undervalued, television shows of all time. It's been dismissed as camp by the Emmy people and by viewers who judge based on seeing one or two episodes - the problem being, that seeing one or two episodes can't show the show's true strengths - storytelling, character continuity, and plot continuity. It's normal on TV shows to forget a character once they've left the show, to disregard a character's past on a regular basis, and to forget (or just ignore) what happened a year ago. And then, there's this show. On this show, there's a solid cast of 3-dimensional (but still consistent) characters, who actually possess *memories* of what happened before on the show! The show is full of instances where plots are foreshadowed, sometimes up to 2 years in advance, and there are references in Season 7 to characters that left in Season 3. It's so refreshing. Plus, the characters themselves are exceedingly well-developed. The dialogue is sharp, witty, and entertaining. The plots and direction are almost invariably flawless (and often inspired, especially during S4's Hush, S5's The Body, and S6's Once More With Feeling). The writing is perfect. Everything about this show is right, and it's such a shame that it never got the professional recognition it deserved.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer in my opinion was the greatest show in the history of television. It had everything-great actors and actresses, great plots, great music. Sarah Michelle Gellar gave some of her most amazing performances on this show and proved just what a brilliant actress she is.

One of the best shows I've ever seen. Many people get sceptic when they see the Title The Vampire Slayer but there is so much more about that show than just being the Slayer. Evert character has a story and the writing is just so smart. You just can't stop watchting that show. It lost a little bit of it's fascination at the end but the first 3 seasons (I also liked Season 5) were just amazing. I miss the show a lot.

The BEST SHOW EVER (besides The Apprentice). Buffy is everything! What an amazing cast, scripts, plot, etc. This gives girls a positive role model, the show manages to deal with real life situations while the main character kills vampires! Genius! All of the Actors are truly phenomenol! Especially Sarah Michelle Gellar! She is an absolutely amazing actress!

At first I was wary of Buffy. I thought it was going to be a trendy, mindless teen show...but it surprised me so much. The cast is brilliant-Sarah Michelle Gellar gives Buffy complexities and makes you love her, James Marsters as Spike is witty, sarcastic and handsome, creating wonderful tension. The other actors are all pieces of the puzzle that make Buffy work so well. It is consistently inventive(who can forget the musical episode?) and always provides dramatic, funny, touching entertainment. This show deserves to be taken seriously.

Buffy was one of the most clever, intelligent and witty shows on television. Josh Wedon was a genius using vampires, demons, monsters etc to represent everyday things, challenges, stresses and controversies in life. It was also great that High school represented in a way hell. I liked the fact that they moved on from high school and we got to see them grow and mature. Sarah Michelle Geller was excellent as Buffy and an excellent role model for woman. The rest of the cast was excellent Nicholas Brendon, Allison Hannigan, Michelle Trachtenberg, Anthony Stewart Head, James Marsters David Boreanez and Seth Green. Although you may classify it as sci/fi fantasy, it was more then that it was part drama and part comedy at times. Josh Wedon through his intelligent story telling used demons/vampires and a young female vampire slayer to say a lot about society.

Although I love this show with every bone in my body I must say what the hell happened in series 6 have you ever known such a bunch of wimps. Buffy was created as a kick ass sci-fi program not a forum for some lame ass spoilt American brats. The only thing that was the salvation for the series was the Willow. The metamorphoses showing the inner darkness and sorrow at the death of Tara was a cleaver and imaginative stroke kudos for that one guys but did we really need all the teen angst, which preceded it? Series 7 is once again a breath of fresh air. However it does seem that all the imaginative storylines show willow to be a main force. The out of normal reality show which willows inner torment once again creating problems was once again pure genius. Lets just hope that with Angel they stick to the demonic metaphors, which were once so much a part of Buffy. Sorry if i am not making much sense but it is nearly 6 am. Off to teh joys of Nietzsche.

I think that Buffy is really the best written show on TV. Joss is one of the best show creators. I used to think that Buffy was a stupid show, and I must admit I was shocked when Dawn came into play, but overall the show is the best thing that I have come across in a long time. I think that ending the series is one of the stupidest things that ever happened.Long live BTVS!

Great show, though over time it started to suck, the finale was nice- open ended yet with resolve. I loved the Buffy-Spike dynamic, I think they're a great couple :) the finale was sad, how Spike died loving Buffy and saving the world...yet I heard Joss is going to revive him!

I thought it would be stupid, but I liked a lot of the hidden cultural and historical jokes on it. I thought I was the only one who thought that way until I heard about a whole slew of people (mostly classicists and English teachers) who liked it for that reason too on NPR. People who don't like it obviously didn't get a lot of the jokes because they're good.

I used to really, really enjoy this show, but ever since Angel left, it has been boring to me. I personally believe that there's only so many shows you can do about vampires, and this one in my opinion has run it's course. It's not as good as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, the cast is great, but its time to say goodbye to Buffy.

I have been watching Buffy since day one, and there is a good feeling as I watch this young girl beat all sorts of monsters week after week. As this is the last season for BtVS, I have been a faithful follower of all her exploits. Now she's a woman that kicks butt. BtVS will be sorely missed.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I watch Buffy religiously. In fact, I didn't even have a TV when the show premiered, and only started watching it (in syndication, my el cheapo cable doesn't offer UPN) last year. I'd been reading about how wonderful it was for years, and I just didn't get it. The whole idea sounded dumb. Plus, I'd seen the movie, which WAS dumb....then one night, out of sheer boredom, I flipped to it.....enchanted beer was turning college kids into cave people. Everybody spoke in this funny dialect, half-dweeb, half-hipster, and when it was over I was like, ooo-kaaaay, that was.....strange. But it made me just curious enough to tune in the following week, and then the week after. And I was hooked. It helped that the third episode I saw was "Hush," where they managed the feat of getting through almost an entire show without dialogue. But what really won my heart were the characters--how lovable and how very true they are, and how the writers respect them like real people. The situations they're placed in are outlandish, and some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths can be almost too clever, but their emotional lives are so dead-on real it continually takes my breath away. For
