07/29/2006 | I loved Providence! I watched it every Friday night. The family wasn't perfect but they stuck together and dealt with all of their issues as a family. A good messege to give in my oppinion. I must say though that I don't know many vets that are animal rights activists.

05/07/2004 | I typically don't like drama's and I can't stomach hospitals. But I grew up in Providence and I liked the intro when they showed views of the city so I figured I'd give it a shot. Well I ended up falling in love with Melina Kanakaredes and I have to admit, I kinda liked the show.

11/17/2001 | Providence rocks ! I can't miss any episode of this wonderful drama : great musics, excellent actors ( unusual nowadays ). Melina Kanakaredes is handsome, closed from her audience. She answered when you send her mail - even though she may not be the one who replies though, you get something -. You go Melina !

04/12/2001 | "Providence" is a good show, but it's quickly losing it's charm and original storylines. Many ideas are now duplicates and run on a formula -- Syd meets boy, boy leaves Syd; Robbie gets into trouble; Jim saves an animal; Joanie works at bakery. The auxillary characters aren't around enough to really appreciate their talent (especially Heather). Many of the storylines are also becoming more far-fetched -- a rare African disease in Providence; regardless that she's smart and beautiful, Syd can't find a boyfriend; Jim does an impromptu operation in the basement and just happens to have the right equipment; old friends suddenly appear in the Hansens' lives for one episode and leave; Syd is gone from the clinic running "errands" and saving people more than she's working there. And people wonder why they don't get nominated for any awards . . . "Providence" needs some fresh ideas and continuity.
