I REALLY HAVE A PROBLEM BELIEVING THAT YOU'RE STILL SHOWING COLD CASE, AWERICAN JUSTICE, FIRST 48 AND OTHERS THAT ARE UP TO TEN YEARS OLD.DON'T YOU THINK IT'S TIME TO PUT THEM TO REST, YOU'VE DAMN SURE MADE YOUR MONEY BACK OFF COMMERCIALS. YOUR VIEWERS DESERVE MORE THAN WHAT YOU'RE GIVING US.

A&E. how is gene simmons without makeup art or entertainment.
BB2004 11/12/2006
It seems to have gone downhill over the years.
CloudTen 11/10/2006
Many of the biographies are very good with fine narration. Other than that?
trebon1038 10/16/2006
A&E is one of my favorite. They play some good syndicated shows and don't go nuts with the comercials.
rcman2 08/19/2006
I know its been said before, but what happened here? Another channel ruined by reality/unscripted garbage. Oh there are reruns of past glory programs like Biography and Investigative Reports but the rest is illiterate unintelligent panderings under the guise of entertainment all to attract the almighty younger demographic. Come on à la carte.
PamelaJames 03/18/2006
I love the Poriot Movies on A&E and wish they would have mor of them. Pamela
cwilliams194 02/06/2006
I have no idea how this channel is still around, 1st it was the old people network with murder she wrote, and biographies of dead people, at least dead to me, now its all about completely off the wall reality shows, just 1 question how are all the new shows on this channel art?
elo3854 11/30/2005
love the show Mindfreak with Criss Angel. It is a great escape from the mostly depressing "criminal" shows. While i do enjoy city confidential it is always good to escape to something that is just pure entertaining.
Kairho 11/05/2005
When they were one of the few "cable" channels a few years back they had consistently great programming. BUt as the competition increased it seems like there aren't enough of the good shows to go around and their overall quality has suffered.
schoempy 10/26/2005
I do not know how OK the series Dog Bounty hunters. I my opinion, this is wastes money,if I see that self centered guy, with his long hear and his howl presentation, I like to take a big shower, because i feel dirty!!! and the the women with her big, UN ecstatic milk items, this is somethings for idiot's not for international TV. please, your program is right on track, dump this idiots, re pace them with something els. I am not a criminal, and have in my 69 years had never to do with the law, but if I see that guy is praying to the LORD in the way he does, please get them of the screen!!!!!
greenguy 09/26/2005
Man I hope I don't run into the Mom in the world. She has a disease that could be spread airborne. She is ugly and miserable and I don't want to catch either.
Curly99 09/25/2005
I just watched the movie The Shining on A&E and had it ruined. For every five minutes of movie it was followed by five minutes of commercials.
darrensmom 09/24/2005
I don't understand why people have to be so insulting. The Gotti children are ACTING their spoiled rotten parts. I believe that they are spoiled to an extent, but most of their antics are acted as well. I don't run to my tv set every time they come on, but the few times I have stopped to watch it, I laugh.
maryann her 08/23/2005
i love this show my 1 year old son and victoria have one thing in common they both had open heart surgery. To see that she survived it and is doing good makes me happy.I would do anything to meet victoria ghotti and have a picture taken with her and my 1 yr old son.....I love the show. It's reality people
concerned human 08/23/2005
Get rid of the Gottis..They are the most worthless group of people I've ever seen..Remember folks..who her father was! I can't believe that people want to watch a bunch of rude, spoiled, not proper in any way that I noticed the 2 times I ran across it while channel surfing ..wow..what has the world come to?
James76255 06/07/2005
I like the biographies. Other than that, I forget I even have it.
GenghisTheHun 06/06/2005
Has good series on it.
Cheazhed 02/16/2005
Narration is awesome. The perfect cross between suspensful and creepy.
Underspin 02/12/2005
For me, City Confidential is the rare program which never insults your intelligence; the first ten minutes of each show really captures the city/town that is focused upon...this channel is hands down one of the better options on cable or otherwise.
midwesterner19 02/04/2005
Good Quality Programs. Especially Biography and Bill Curtis. I also love City Confedential, its too bad Paul Winfield passed because its not as good as it was.
opinion585 11/06/2004
as retarded as it will sound, i do like growing up Ghotti. I dont know why but i like it, i also really like Airline, and city confidential, but on city confidential, they need to do some more cities, i can't count how many times i have seen some of them, and they need to have that paul winfeild guy narrating again, that new guy just doesnt do it right!!!!
politicsrules 07/30/2004
While A&E has for quite a while not given it's viewers much of anything that could ever be considered the arts, A&E still manages to offer quality original programs as well as airing syndicate shows which were and still are big hits.
tdubya71 07/25/2004
Good documentaries and biographies, but is going downhill by putting on reruns and reality crap.
Jamie McBain 06/22/2004
Very little A anymore, more E than anything.
Dwayne Brazil 05/30/2004
No Art anymore! Just common junk.
tvtator 03/22/2004
A channel that offers a variety of programs from syndicated shows like Murder She Wrote and Third Watch to original shows like Biography, American Justice, Airline, specials like Live by Request and shows from the BBC such as Poirot and MI-5 to name a couple. The channel offers a little bit of everything and usually has quality programming. I think it would improve if it stayed away from the syndicated shows like(Murder She Wrote and Third Watch) and moved more toward original progamming, specials and shows from the BBC.
Enkidu 03/16/2004
I wouldn't mind them so much if they'd remove the A. Long, long time since they had ANY pretense of airing arts.
michelec 01/08/2004
Biography has gone downhill (what's so great about P. Diddy that an episode is devoted to him?), Law & Order is sorely missed, and I'm tired of looking at Bill Kurtis. On the upside there's MI-5 and other British programs, and I enjoy the Live by Request concerts. If A&E could put MI-5 in a 90 minute timeslot so the episodes can be seen without all the cuts for US commercials, that would warrant an bump up to 4 stars.
ClassicTVFan47 12/19/2003
Aside from Murder She Wrote and Poriot, they don't show anything that I enjoy. Why dump Law & Order, Quincy, and Columbo? Who knows?
LondonJules 11/02/2003
I loved Horatio Hornblower and am a massive MI-5 fan. A&E shows some great programmes and makes it worth its price.
traveltutor 10/30/2003
A&E offers a much better selection of british programming than BBC America and also does a better job at biography type shows than E!
Pat'sfriend 10/29/2003
Excellent programming, especially the British programs.
canny_savvy 10/29/2003
One place where I can watch some decent BBC productions. But also, it's all that American Justice stuff . . . which bores me to tears. Love Biography but they have their own channel now.
help me 06/18/2003
so boring. nothing interesting at all
Joe23665 04/20/2003
Good channel. Though I HATED it when they cancelled Nero Wolfe.
ChunkyLover53 02/24/2003
A&E airs some interesting documentaries and movies, but I wish they'd go back to airing some TV shows, like NewsRadio reruns. Bring those back! At least The View is gone. Good riddance to bad rubbish!
staytherelass 02/17/2003
I love Columbo.That's all.
ratemaster1984 02/09/2003
I enjoy Biography and many of their informative documentaries.
Jason1972 01/23/2003
I like those old Law & Order episodes.
klark_kent 12/07/2002
What used to be one of my favorite channels has devolved into cheap and repetitive programming. In fact, it's best to rename it the Bill Kurtis Network. That shameless non-journalist seems to be on that channel 24-7. I'm tired of violence and programming that promotes it (even when it claims to be "intelligent criticism of _____" (fill in the blank with whatever they say this week)). Kurtis has almost singlehandedly ruined a decent channel. He's just a hackneyed cliche of a "reporter", all mannerisms and lame-DJ voice. He panders to violence and illness which perpetuates the crime rate in this country, just as the majority of "journalists" do theses days. When did A&E decide to pander to the lowest common denominator? Remember when A&E showed reruns of Slap Maxwell? I would watch that over and over before suffering thru another moment of Bill Kurtis.
teacherafael 12/01/2002
I love this channel the same way as I love History Channel. They are so good! I like specialy Biography program.
TimBSDCA 10/12/2002
Generally presents very good features.
LoneUSFullHous eFan 04/26/2002
Why did they ever get rid of L A Law? Now I have no reason to watch it.
BrandlerChandl er 10/02/2001
I like A&E because they want to buy the rights to "Early Edition," and because they show a great show "Law & Order" so much!!
Snoopy 08/06/2001
I love the NewsRadio reruns. That show is a classic, IMHO.
callmetootie 04/04/2001
A and E used to show really good movies on Saturdays and Sundays, and they sometimes still do, but other then that, I don't watch it much.
sweetpea 11/17/2000
A&E is a pretty good channel, but I would say it's mostly only for when you're bored and have nothing to watch. I find their Biography program to be of interest and my mother enjoys Mystery. Unless you're a big fan of Poirot of like to know about some famous person's depressing downfall, I wouldn't say it's really worth the time.
pbhm2733om 01/11/2000
Quality programming, especially the original presentations and Biography.
danc2947om 12/15/1999
Educational and entertaining programs.
