Why is there no choice for zero stars? This is the worst place for baseball ever. At least they are moving into a new outdoor ballpark for the 2010 season. Their new place will be an easy top 5. This place though is a toilet.

The concourse looks like a subway station. The field is ugly and the outside is even worse. I agrees with those who say "The worst park in MLB." The only thing I found good was ease of reasonably priced parking.

This is a very under-rated facility. While baseball in a dome is not ideal, the weather in Minneapolis for much of the year is not ideal either. I found the HHH Metrodme to be easy to access, clean, and comfortable. I think it's an outrage that the Vikings, Gophers, and Twins will soon be abandoning this (FULLY PAID FOR) stadium. This place was given up on about 30-35 years too soon. The prices are good, and the staff are helpful. And, where are all of these terrible sight-lines I keep reading about? I had absolutely no trouble watching the game! One should visit for a Twins game before the new place opens. I'll be sorry to see it go. But, I'm conservative and averse to wasting money.

With the thankful demise of the Seattle Kingdome this is now the worst ballpark in MLB. Its bland, its ugly, it has garbage bag walls in the outfield, it has the artifical turf they declared carcinogenic in 1978, food that would poison a leprous goat, the worst beer in any major league stadium and absolutely dysfunctional staff.

Nickname something the Humpdome and how good do you figure it is?

Having said all that, they put a team on the field every year who plays like there is a 300 foot drop behind them if they give an inch, managed by the best skipper in baseball, and one of the best management staffs at doing the most with least that exists.

All that being said, and given that their best player is a someone I coached when he was a kid, I love the team (except when they`re playing the Red Sox. Justin understands.) but I hate the stadium.

It doesn`t deserve two stars, but I`m giving it out of respect for the team.

I've been here a few times and it is a disgrace.  There is nothing good about it.  Nothing appeals to me at all about this dump.  The Twins don't deserve anything better though. 

New comments:  I play baseball for my college team and we got to play in the dome a bunch of times this season.  It actually isn't so bad.  I think before i was biased, but after playing on it, I hope that they keep it.  Of, course, there weren't too many people there.  that probably made it better, though, since there weren't any whiny Twins fans there. 

As a baseball venue, this place stinks! Now the Vikings are trying to get out of it also. This dump is really poor!

I have to put down the caveat that I've never actually been to the Hefty Trashbag, but it is an aesthetic disaster and a cold and lifeless place. The Twins play fundamentally solid baseball, they can be a fun bunch to watch...but the owner is a 354 year old Mr. Burns wannabee known for making his megabucks from farm disclosures, and is probably one of those fatcat sphincters who sent 4 year olds down a mine when he was somewhat less Methuselah- like so I doubt they'll get something better anytime soon. Probably the worst extant park in the game, it gets loud in there when the team is good.

I thought this was a great stadium for a dome i dont like domes at all but i thought it was good for one there new stadium will probly be really good and the fans there have good fans might not be a sell out but they get people there

This stadium is bad, but it's still much better than the dark, dull, ugly dump in Tampa. At least in the Metrodome there are more fans and it's brighter, and it's more interesting since outfielders frequently lose the ball in the lights, which I find amusing. But still, the Twins need a nice new stadium with a retractable roof.

The fans of the Minnesota Twins deserve a better stadium than the Metrodome. It is very clean inside and the food is good. The best time to see a game at the dome is definitly during the playoffs, otherwise you might as well stay home. Good sight lines and very few obstructed view seats. The vendors keep you full of beer which is also a big plus. I dont like the turf and you see a lot of dome doubles due to the outfielders losing the ball in the white dome roof. Keep your fingers crossed fellow Twin fans someday we will too have a retractable roof stadium.

Now that Montreal is moving to Washington this takes the cake as the worst place to play baseball. Always got background noise of the inflating fans. Seating are terrible. Sight lines are average but all are bad if you aren't in the lower level. The only thing worth going to see is the great story of the Twins the last few years. Not to mention you have a whole bunch of Minnesotians in one place and to see them happy can sometimes make you a little ill.

Worst stadium in mlb!

A facility that shares three of the states biggest team. The Twins, the VI Kings, and the Gophers. Maybe if this state had some money or brains, or both, they might be able to have a nice facility. When I was in the dome, i knew what it was like to be jiffy pop. Now how does this sound, "You get paid 35 million dollars to be a piece of popcorn." Rediculous.

The only stadium I can think of that merits a single star. I went to Twins games there for three summers, and the worst thing about it was on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in June, when you'd love to be enjoying the relatively rare warm weather of Minnesota, you'd have to step inside this cheap-feeling, plastic thing. I can't believe this place has been around for twenty years.

This is an awesome post-season stadium when 50000 people are waving homer hankies and hunter hits one over the fence to win the game. the astroturf helps outfielders slide and that is fun to watch other wise this is a lame stadium thats why it got a three out of four stars. Kollin

No real baseball atmosphere.... UNLESS it's the postseason and there's 50,000 fans in the stands waving homer hankies. Parking really stinks. It gains 1 star for home-field (home-astroturf) advantage and postseason atmosphere. Go Twins!

What a piece of crap this thing is. From the bad turf to the trash bags that make up right field to cover up rolled up football bleachers. Hopefully the state government can stop fighting and figure out a financial plan for the new planned park. This thing is a joke.

I obviously have to go to Philadelphia and Montreal, because I can't imagine that anything could be less like watching a baseball game than watching the Twins split a double header with the Yankees.
