Charlie Gibson's delivery is so flat and dry that it detracts from the news. They need to walk him around the set now and then to show that he's not just a talking head on top of a cardboard cutout. There's such a thing as being too low key.

This is my evening news of choice, I like Charles Gibson, he has a sincere demeanor, good delivery style, low key, tries not to be the "news" himself unlike Couric on CBS. For the most part, ABC is pretty good at covering stories too. If they take Charles Gibson off, then it is back to NBC for me.

Love Elizabeth Vargas, and all staff...always preferred this station with Peter Jennings as well....I like the recent coverage of this horrific war we are in...'appreciate the way you present the whole picture...from determination of the soldiers who lost limbs to the sheer ignorance of a president who is trying to sell us again...

I actually like the new team of Bob Woodruff and Elizabeth Vargas. They have excellent chemistry and seem professional and respectable on air. Now only if Elizabeth would wear some shorter skirts and take off those stupid jackets so I could get a better look. Then, I would increase my rating to five stars.

I must be watching another show, I must have a different broadcast from a different demension or something. Are you guys talking about World News Tonight, formally hosted by Peter Jennings until he got lung cancer and sadly, later passed. And currently hosted usually by Elizabeth Vargas? What in the hell ever made them left wing? Because they weren't faux news? Give me ONE QUOTE, that showed any spinning at all. They, say stuff, I mean, the go to the seen , they report what they see. I don't see how that could be any bias, liberal or conservative. What have any of them ever said that showed any kind of political/ideological bias. It's not like they are CBS or FOX. They are ABC, the channel that more Americans get their news from, than any other source. Somebody please, seriously, give me something, I must have missed it, because I =can't STAND watching a bias news networks and that is why ABC is my only choice. How are they liberal bias if they say "our prayers go out to those victims of Katrina and their family members" if anything, I would say that is a conservative bias, but being a Catholic myself, I felt very comforted in hearing them say that. You people are all just Fox News lovers who want to pass the spin toroch around, sorry, but it stays with Fox and CBS.

More left wing babel. Go back to Canada.

The network news shows (ABC/CBS/NBC) are the least important source of information since Howdy Doody went off the air. Simpletons, biased, and phoney intellects. Americans make enormous mistake to gather data from these morons. Encapsulation and visual impact in news has lead to confusion with entertainment and ultimately to dazzle versus fact. Journalism in USA is collapsing on itself and we are living with virtually no good information to make choices. The Audi did not drive itself into the wall, the White House did not kill Vince Foster, and Ted Kennedy is a lush. But you won't learn these things correctly from Dan, Ted, Peter, and Connie. In fact, you won't learn beans from these faces.

Peter Jennings could not be more biased. Selective use of polls, false depictions of Iraq and favorable opinions of liberals all fall into liberal media bias. I never watch and apparently many more have followed course.

This opinion really reflects that of all media groups in America. Yes, every single one. They media does not know when to stop, they just continue to plague our lives by changing stories to increase ratings. At my school, some kid was caught with tiny piss poor bombs that could blow up a baby rabbit. He was selling these to kids, or at least trying. Now, the media is saying there was a "bomb threat". Was anyone threatening to blow up anyone? NO! Tell me, how is that a bomb threat? See? The media has too much power...we need to loosen their freedoms alot...they can report anything they want, but only tell the facts and stop lying. I'm sick of those people.

Tells the news fairly, unlike the FAUX news.

DK what is wrong with ABC? The anti-American stance of Peter Jennings (and staff) is so obvious. They don't even attempt to hide the outright liberal anti-American bias. Is it that Disney doesn't want to take a chance at offending the rest of the world and facing a boycott of their products (Euro Disney, etc.)? Are they that sure that Americans will close their eyes to this position and continue to buy their products? I'm not.

Peter Jennings is the best television news anchor in television news. His reports are thought provoking, intelligent, and he even includes information no one ever knew. His special reports sheds light on the history of the subject right up to the current. ABCNEWS is where you should be if youre interested in getting the full facts.

Simply the most reliable program on the air. Balanced coverage with pertinene perspectives. ABC News is outstanding.
ISLAM 01/22/2002
THESE NEWS SHOWS SUCK! THEY DON'T EVEN TELL US THE TRUTH. THEY JUST LOOK FOR THE JUICY STORY, AND MAKEUP WHATEVER THEY WANT. THE ARABS SHOWN CELEBRATING AFTER SEPT 11 ATTACK WAS ACTUALLY HELD IN 1991 AND THE AMERICANS WERE MISLEAD BY ALL OF THE MAJOR NETWORKS. THE FUNNY THING IS THAT ONLY THE SMALL LOCAL NEWS GROUP(CHANNEL 2 IN HOUSTON) WAS HONEST AND BOLD ENOUGH TO SET THINGS STRAIGHT. SHAME ON CNN, ABC, CBS AND NBC.

After seeing the completely leftwing activist reporting during the elections and aftermath, I will be watching to see what sanctions the FCC imposes for your unethical activitiesonce their investigation is complete.

This is just another bias program. I want the news delivered to me. I am intelligent enough to make up my own mind. Thank god for the dish. I can now get FOX News. They enform me and treat me with intelligence

Gor really solid news - check out ITN World News, which is on public television (Ch. 26 in DC). They have solid, insightful world news.
