 | CherrySoda99 (29) 02/01/2006 | I think everyone that hears the main title of this movie will know exactly where it's from. The main song is famous pretty much everywhere you'll find fans.

 | Drakainia (0) 06/08/2004 | The soundtrack to Star Wars: A prime example of how different life would be if they'd hired someone else to write the music.

 | Jason1972 (3) 02/01/2003 | I'm not an avid classical music buff, but this movie came out when I was 5 so everytime I hear any track of this album, it evokes the best memories since I was such a big fan of the movie. Great nostalgia!

 | REWinder (1) 10/28/2002 | All of the above comments say everything that has to be said for this soundtrack, in terms of commentary. Comes in two basic flavors -- The Star Wars Anthology (1993), a 4CD set that covers the trilogy, with 98% of the first movie's score; about 94% of Empire Strikes' Back score, and sadly only 67% of Return of the Jedi's score. Flavor # 2 : Two-CD sets --released in '97 with the Special Editions -- for all three entries of the classic trilogy, and all 99% to 100% complete. My only question is -- why aren't the sdtk.s for Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi on this list?

 | lukskywlkr. (3) 10/17/2002 | Brilliant work by John Williams. Can anyone hear the opening theme and not know what is about to come on??? Even the extra opening music during the 20th Century Fox banner was added for Star Wars and has been kept in 20th Centuries' movies ever since. Another Star Wars contribution to the movies as a whole.

 | ontopoftheworld (0) 02/28/2002 | Possibly the greatest motion picture score ever, there are so many great themes on this album, you just don't get film music like this anymore!

 | Potch1214 (0) 11/29/2001 | A modern masterpiece. Unforgettable themes. IT helps make Star Wars: A New Hope what it is today, a classic film. The end of the movie where Luke, Han, Chewie, Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2 are standing there with their medals and suddenly, wham here comes the credits with this great theme that picks up the spirit of the moment just perfectly. I get goosebumps even thinking about it! And the Imperial Theme, so dark and sinister sounding. Hats off to John Williams. I love this music!

 | callmetootie (4) 04/04/2001 | That one instrumental hit by John Williams fills up the whole entire tape. It's a song that you can play in the background of your party for aboout 20 minutes. It's such a great instrumental hit.

 | angel859500 (0) 12/12/2000 | If you are a Star Wars fan, buy it and buy it now! I especially love Princess Leia's theme and the Throne Room Finale. I also recommend the Empire Strikes Back!

 | REPenn (0) 11/20/2000 | A classic in cinema soundtracks. The music is as much a part of the Star Wars lore as anything else. More than any other soundtrack the music upon it is identified with the film it was made for. You can mistake parts of other soundtracks as not belongong to it, but that is not the case with Star Wars.

 | malbu (0) 11/08/2000 | If you have to ask go rent the movie. Star Wars is a classic science fiction movie. It is a classic because of the small budget, yet they came up with revolutionary effects and the score was superb.

 | Trone (0) 10/30/2000 | I love the music to Star Wars. I can listen to it in my car. It is also great background music for slideshows and home videos. I would love to hear it in an elevator.

 | a-c-7246om (0) 06/08/2000 | This album is tight. All of those infamous themes are on the album. This album is for Star Wars fans only. There are no imitations, it's the real thing. This album would make George Lucas proud. If you thought the movie was good, the soundtrack will make you want to see it again.

 | pher7193om (0) 06/06/2000 | This soundtrack reflects the movie great, but it isn't something I would buy to listen to at home. It does go well with the movie though.
