I bought the book and CD for my oldest son who is serving in the army I didnt realize until he left home how much he means to me how important it is to me that his life is sucessful this song is truly my wishes for him It brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it and for my son as well A heartfelt THANK YOU to Leann Womack for sharing it with us all!

04/07/2003 | Lee Ann Womack has a beautiful voice that carries the lyrics well. It's a shame that "I Hope You Dance" got so very overplayed, but I still like "Ashes by Now", amongst other songs. It's definately worth listening to the rest of the CD.

02/28/2003 | Lee Ann Womack's album "I Hope You Dance" is amazing. Her voice is angelic and very soothing. She keeps her music in the traditional country music genre. All the songs in her collection are great, however, the ones that stand out most are: "The Healing Kind," "I Hope You Dance," "After I Fall," "I Know Why the River Runs," "Ashes by Now," and "Lord, I Hope This Day is Good." Well done, Lee Ann!

11/01/2002 | The title song is the main attraction of course, but there are several other great songs on here. Ashes By Now is good on record, but is a killer in concert. Lord I Hope This Day Is Good, a remake of the Don Williams hit, is also well worth listening to.

03/22/2001 | I'm not really "into" country music, but I am forced to listen to it from time to time as it's my boyfriend's favorite music. I heard I Hope You Dance on the radio the other night and I cried. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. You can apply to to almost anything going on in your life. If this is what country music is all about, I'm hooked :)

sherrie and i loved this song. by the way i don't listen to country music. sherrie died on 072900.
she was ijected from the back of a pickup while visting her best friend in colorado. this was the
last song we shared together. We argued about the
radio stations and what songs to hear on the radio
we agreed on this song. what a gift to know that
she would want me her mother to give faith a chance and not let some hell bent heart live me
bitter and finally to dance instead of sitting
it out. i feel this song was written for me.
whenever i feel i can't go on i listen to the song and i know that sherrie would want me to go on and not take the path of least resistance.
you saved my life with this song. thank you and i know sherrie thanks you too from the heavens above. This song is mean't for a child from a parent. i know that. instead it is from my child to her mom. what a gift. it gets my whole family through this ordeal. my husband and sherrie's little brother he's eight yrs old. we even have the book. please i just want to say thank you!

I plan to buy 10 copies and request that when god takes me from this earth that my children play this song at my funeral and I hope that they fuly realize it's meaning. Time is always to short. So say what you need to while there is still time. To my husband (Rick), my kids (Marissa & Ricky), my grandmother and my parents I will love you every day of my life.

01/10/2001 | LeAnn Womack is my favorite country singer/songwriter. I love the song "I hope you dance" it is very inspiring and heartwarming it helps me get through daily obstacles. I love to sing karoake and I'm waiting for this song to become a karoake song so that I can sing it. LeAnn if you ever come to this site and happen to stumble across my entry please email me and say hi,that would be awesome. I really do think that you are great. I love your voice,and I myself do hope that someday I can become a singer/songwriter just like you. I'd also like for you to know that your song "You've gotta talk to me is a song that I always, always sing at karoake, its dedicated to a friend of mine that took his life and is no longer in this world. Well I hope that you succeed in everything that you do.

I listen to it everyday, It does have alot of meaning, and it warms my heart, I dedicated it to my two year old son on a local country station. I sing it to him all of the time, cause I love him so much!!
