 | AutoJC (0) 03/22/2004 | I first got this on Vinyl back in 1972, and then I realized that, for the longest time, B. B. King and his orchestra would do this show over and over again. First did it at Atlantic City in 1969 live, a near 100% redux of the Regal performance, then again in 1972, at the Fillmore East.
It is a very focused, slick production with first-rate musicianship throughout.
Does B. B. King, in fact, still do reprises of these performances? This is one of the slickest packages ever put together, and an absolute must for both his fans AND those who love blues guitar.

There is a true connection between B.B and the audience. It is one of the quintessential live albums ever recorded. A must for any blues fans.

 | Wiggum (16) 09/12/2000 | One of the best live blues CDs ever recorded. If you listen to B.B. King's Live at the Regal CD and don't think he deserves a 5 rating, then there's something wrong with you. This man is a living legend who has profoundly influenced multiple generations of musicians. Take Eric Clapton, for instance. Clapton, who has influenced countless musicians himself, points to B.B. King as his biggest hero. I was lucky enough to see King perform in Atlanta a few years ago, and it was an amazing experience. If you want an easy introduction to his music, start with something like Blues Summit, where he does duets with other artists. But when you're really ready to jump in, pick up Live at the Regal, his best recording.
